@@WeAreWoke999 Try Lithonia, Douglas county, Fayette and Henry county just to name a few places around Atlanta. There even heavily Black nice neighborhoods in Cobb now. A lot of Black folk are attracted to Atlanta because of the booming music and entertainment industry and those are the ones that tend to post the most Vlogs. But it's deeper than that. Atlanta has the highest concentration of young Black educated professionals in the country. What that means is no matter what you are into. Whether it be arts, technology, entrepreneurship, etc. you are going to find a whole community of Black folk who are seriously into those things too that you can network with and befriend. I've been to places like Ohio or rural Georgia where as an engineer I was always the only Black person among my peers trying to assimilate and fit in. Vermont I'm sure is nice but it's even Whiter. All of that is fine if you are comfortable with it but after a couple decades of always being the odd Black person out it's nice and refreshing to be around plenty of people like myself that are actually into technology professionally. I can relax and just be myself around them. A lot of Black folks are drawn to Atlanta for that reason and it actually is a great facilitator for Black entrepreneurship because networking is so important in Business and in Atlanta you get to network with important powerful, successful people that happen to be Black too instead of always having to Break into other races spheres of influence. Sorry. Long winded again. lol

So I watched this video and saw a lot of familiar places... like my home! It’s really not that bad. I moved on to Simpson Rd last year into a cute space. Though it is in the hood. I actually feel a sense of community here and have been embraced by the locals. Don’t let this video give you the wrong impression of the West side.

@1000 Subscribers With No Videos : No, he's right. This stupid shit actually perpetuates fear of black people. Just because black folks hanging outside don't mean they're gonna shoot you. Walking on most these main roads is usually fine, even at night, unless you're unlucky. Things don't get especially dangerous until you start walking up in people's apartment complexes for no reason...but why would you do that anyway?

@MrJack19925 жыл бұрын
I mean most cities have cleaned up from back in the day. In 1999 it wasn't uncommon to make a wrong turn end up in the hood and get carjacked and beaten up. Now days the hood is rough but compared to 1999 its not the same kind of rough. If you fuck around and don't know people yeah you'll get in trouble. But if you chill leave people be you'll be aight.

Worked security for this complex years ago. Got shot at, multiple fights, abandoned units used for drug labs, drug storage, prostitution, and never got paid for removing a majority of the problems. Ironically, last year I was doing fugitive recovery and had to serve a warrant on a guy that was caught with a prostitute when I was clearing abandoned units back in 2017. It’s a shame that the city has let that complex turn into the hell hole it is.
