Jeff, this is my favorite of your videos! It shows AC is more than the casinos. Cafe 2825, right across from our building, will be expanding this winter, a plus, reservations there are almost as difficult as Chef Volas. Also, to add for anyone's interest, Tony's Baltimore Grill announced this week that they purchased Angeloni's II, an iconic AC restaurant, and will be reopening the establishment.

This video does a great job disproving some long-standing misconceptions avout ACs safety. As the video shows it safe and clean along the main drag. Like other metros awareness is always important and daytime is always the safer bet. Change has been slow in happening but the city is definitely being transformed. Lots of investment besides just casinos. Great job Jeff! As far as 2825 it is definitely worth a visit at least once. Higher end $, tough to get reservations sometimes. All homemade traditional Italian with some twists. Been around since mid late 80s. They have a great website.

Thanks Joel! I've done some research on Cafe 2825. Sounds like a must visit and yes, limited tables and seating, just walking in can be a problem. It's also BYOB.

Hi Jeff, nice video, I’ve done that walk many times and loved it. I really liked theHilton, too bad it’s been abandoned for so many years. A few months ago l noticed Popa pizza had closed down but on your video l see they have a new location. I used to go there for a slice if l stayed at Resorts. Popeyes opened a new location, love that chicken. I don’t walk as much as l used to so this video was helpful. There really is a lot to see in Atlantic City besides the Casinos l love it . That Mexican restaurant, I believe closed recently after a long time being on Atlantic. They said Dave and Busters expect to open in December, where the 40/40 club was on Atlantic in front of Ceasars property. Docks Oyster is same owner as Knife and FORK. Whitehouse Subs sounds good! DO AC.

Jeff, super job with this video of Atlantic AV, I have never walk this beat,I have gone to the outlets and travel to White House for arguably one of the best sub's shop in America. Jeff great music on the walk if one does not go for the stroll one can just enjoy the music... for me it's both. Hello Jeff… this is an “excellent” video. There is more to AC than a lot of people think!!! I don’t know if you remember, but I was my mother’s caregiver for several years, but she passed away in September. We visited the Ocean Casino and it was really nice. Coming back soon to visit. I’ve always heard Atlantic Ave was the The Strip of AC. Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. But people say, there’s comparisons. I guess only in the main thoroughfare sense. Plus, isn’t Atlantic Ave yellow? Along with…Ventnor & Marvin Gardens….I believe.

8:38 just a heads-up, the cafe that is connected to the Bus Terminal (Cafe DiRoma) is honestly awful 😬 the owner is really rude and apparently, according to Yelp, is also blatantly racist to customers. However, the rest of the staff in the bus terminal itself is really nice and it’s always pretty clean!

It's really not bad at all David! I've been 'around the block' in many cities and felt totally safe during the daytime here. Trust me, if I felt uncomfortable, I'd head back to the boardwalk but that wasn't the case. Atlantic City has many areas (some I've covered and others on my list) to explore outside of the usual beach, boardwalk and hotels ... which I enjoy covering as well!
