I used to visit Atlantic City very frequently to see my Grandmother and the Casino with family. I lost my my grandmother. She lived to be 106yrs. In addition I lost another relative who also resided in Atlantic City. Watching these videos of the boardwalk bring back memories. My Grandmother lived across the street from boardwalk

Borgata room wise is probably alittle better than Ocean but Ocean in my opinion seems cleaner when it comes to the people that hang around the bars. The B bar in Borgata may as well be called Pimps and Hookers.

Good job guys taking this seriously etc. Got info instead of a vlog. I'm very familiar w a.c. & pool talk is a plus. All spots have quirks as you know. Hows Ocean as far as hospitality? Its mammoth & most modern w views unmatched. I'm a boardwalk guy so its hard2 commit2 all else although you have excellent points on why you love Borgata etc. I really like bouncing in & out of spots throughout my day. You both may prefer anchoring down & making most of that relaxing adult pool scene. You enjoy the getaway. Thx4 putting up a positive overall review not crushing any particular property. We found the staff at Ocean to be mostly great, but that the Borgata staff were just a little more well polished overall. We love the boardwalk in the warm months and the Borgata (or Harrah's) during the colder weather. Casino floor though, Ocean is hard to beat.

Just curious as I am looking into my first trip to AC with some friends later on this year or early next year depending on the Covid situation. Have you stayed at the other Casino Resorts... Golden Nugget, Resorts, and Tropicana? Just was curious about your opinions on Resorts in particular. It appears to be the cheapest by a pretty wide margin and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a nasty trashy kind of place. From the videos I have seen, it appears older but still a decent place.. Firstly, thanks so much for watching K! To answer your question, it's been a few years since I (Steve) stayed at Resorts, but even at that time they were refreshing a good bit of their rooms, so I would imagine at this point they're all done (but not 100% sure) and they'll all be very clean once AC re-opens to make guests feel welcomed. It also has a great location on the boardwalk if the weather isn't too bad when you visit, right in between Ocean and Hard Rock, you could walk over to either casino from Resorts. That said, it is definitely dated in areas and lacks amenities some of the other big hotels offer and has a smaller casino floor. The main reason we shy away from it now is the limited ways you can earn status elsewhere (namely Las Vegas, or with Hyatt in the case of Ocean). A lot of people like Tropicana, but we feel it is just too far from the action and if you want to get to another casino from the Trop you'll have to drive. Golden Nugget we feel is a bit pricey for what they offer (no indoor pool for the winter months is a big negative). Hope this helps and enjoy AC!

bro, ocean has an indoor and outdoor pool. and another outdoor pool on the boardwalk, with 2 elevated mini-pools with glass walls, overviewing the beautiful turf and a much larger pool. also has cabanas. the other indoor and outdoor pool is connected THROUGH THE WATER and has a glass door INSIDE OF THE WATER. has a beautiful fish tank which has an arcade, too. right on the beach, no driving. walk out the door and boom you’re on the boardwalk, a few steps later after scorching your feet on the hot boardwalk, you got the salty beach. delicious food places everywhere, wahlburger restaurant, asain food, etc. has many stores inside, hot tubs, and a beautiful park evaluated above the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean. nice fireplaces, and the suites are nice with excellent views.

And as of late they have much more generous with their comps... when we went to AC at the end of April we actually stayed 3 nights in Ocean and loved it... although unfortunately they left Hyatt so we can't earn nights there anymore by staying at Ocean. Wahlburger is delicious... though sadly they dropped the original Taco Tuesday deal at Distrito!

Let me give you the 411 on "Indoor Pools". The more chlorine you smell is an indication of the amount or urine in the pool. When chlorine mixes with ammonia (found in urine) it produces that smell. The smell is not an indication of how clean it is but how dirty it really is.

I don't drink, so my preference to AC casino hotels is based on restaurants (buffets are a plus) and/or pool. I haven't stayed at Borgata yet, so I have no opinion yet of your top pick, but I LOVE their buffet (after Caesar's Entertainment [Tropicana, Harrah's, Caesar's] stopped all their buffets, there are only two casino buffets left in AC and Borgata is the best out of the two IMO) and will probably decide on a two night stay there someday. My top pick for the area is Ocean Casino Resort, based on diversity of restaurants and the best hotel guest pool (the indoor-outdoor pool on the roof; they do allow kids there so you two probably avoid it, but I still recommend it based on cool design and it being heated) in all of AC, downside is despite the assertions they have not yet opened a buffet for the non-high roller patrons and replaced one of their reasonably priced casual sit down restaurants with a Hipster concept restaurant called Serendipity3 with menu prices seemingly double from what Café 500 was. I see in the background you two are filming your review from your Ocean Casino Resort hotel room! :) (they all look the same with that origami book page paper artwork behind you on the wall next to the TV) I will have to find time to try the outdoor pool one day (hopefully summer 2023). Also the price for parking ($5 for the basic membership card for people who don't gamble much and/or just get the card for cheaper parking, $10 for non-members) is the best boardwalk parking price in AC (especially because it remains unchanged on weekends) and is useful even for when you aren't staying at the hotel and just want to walk the AC boardwalk but have your car in a safe garage. My prior top pick was Harrah's thanks to the buffet, "The Pool" and some of the other nice restaurants like AC Burger Co. My opinion of Harrah's went down sharply because of the fact that they got rid of the buffet and are replacing it with a bland looking food court (they already had a food court across, but guess they wanted a cafeteria style place too) which currently only has a Bobby's Burger but will be getting more restaurants soon, they now charge $20 for two hotel guests (more than two is $10 per person) to use The Pool despite also being charged resort fees (while the "free" indoor family pool on the 4th floor of the Coastal Tower is unheated, has an uncared for arcade as the pool entranceway (a "fun center" where the lone pinball machine is broken and I bet maintenance on the rest of the machines is lacking), and a sunbathing area right next to the air conditioning vents outside the fenced area they place the chairs at). The other annoying thing is walking from the garage to the hotel check in through the casino floor feels like a maze and their signs don't do very well pointing you in the right direction. Hard Rock is another highlight, though now being technically the "worst" buffet in all the AC casinos due to the lack of other casino buffets (Golden Nugget has not outlined why they haven't reopened their buffets, unlike Caesar's which has explained their actions) but its still great. My wife and I didn't go into the pool during our visit this Summer 2022, but that's because we instead went to the water park in Wildwood instead. Hopefully these renovations that they are completing also include a pool heater! The other restaurants are nice, though most are high priced compared to others where it seems that the buffet is the cheapest option in most respects! As an arcade addict, the other highlight is being next to the Showboat Hotel (formerly Showboat Hotel and Casino) which now has the Lucky Snake arcade, though they need to up the speed of their maintenance on their pinball machines! I will have to try the others in the future, though I remember years ago how annoyingly small the Caesar's hotel pool was when I went there years ago, the mall they have is virtually dead (though they still have the seats on the third floor that allow you to view the beach through the windows), and Caesar's Buffet is also gone. Also I hate to hear how Caesar's Entertainment not only got rid of their buffets post-COVID, but also are now nickel and diming on pool access! As for Resort's, I never went yet but now that they enclosed their rooftop pool, it might be fun for year round pool visits. Showboat opening a waterpark right next to their hotel will also be a fun excursion when it's completed.

It is nothing personal, but the Tropicana is just very far from other hotels and it also has limited options to earn status in other locations like Las Vegas. After a solid indoor pool those factors are big for us. If you only ever go to AC and don't need to worry about status with other casinos, the Trop is a solid option, but we would still rate Ocean and Borgata higher overall.

Borgata : definitely has better restaurants than ocean. Old homestead steakhouse is great Ocean : Best rooms in ac and nicer in the summer for the all the pools and being right on the beach. Not impressed with their restaurants though I usually stay at ocean and eat at borgata

Tend to agree John, though we have a soft spot for Distrito at Ocean and really liked our Water Club room upgrade the 1 time we got it! Both are fantastic hotels and we really miss AC right now!

Good review w/ important details for ea hotel. Think maybe too much emphasis on the pool accommodations regarding adult or non, but then again I have a child + we both LUV our pool time at these hotels!

It's really unfortunate, especially if you're already a paying guest at the hotel, let alone if we pay for food and drinks at the pool bar. Don't like the trend, but there's a few spots which don't do that thankfully and we stay there when we can. Thanks so much for watching Tara!

Tropicana felt like a jail cell. They’re only good for dancing, I wouldn’t spend the night there. People were smoking in non smoking towers, super dated tvs, dirty rooms with disgusting stained beds, never again!

Thanks so much... they have really gotten out of hand now, especially at Caesars hotels... $30+ resort fee and than an extra $10 to use the pool as a hotel guest. A big positive of Borgata being part of MGM now is that if you make it to gold status, it waives the resort fees now.

Agreed, we really used to like Harrah's but no more. Trop just missed the cut for us because it is a bit far from everything and has limited options to earn status elsewhere (like Vegas), but we have a lot of friends that really like it.

Thanks so much for watching Scott and sorry we didn't mention your favorite hotel. For us, the Tropicana is very far from all the other casinos, so you would need to take a cab anywhere else you wanted to go. We also usually like to stay at hotels where it would help us earn status elsewhere (Vegas or the Hyatt hotel chain in the case of Ocean) and the Trop has limited options in that regard. That said, it definitely isn't a knock against the Trop and we probably owe it a more recent return visit when the current health situation improves, hope you and your family are safe!

Nice video and my Number 1 is BORGATA also and their “ FIORE Room “ is gorgeous but get a high floor because it has a panoramic window view . In our opinion Bally’s was horrible with OLD machines and poorly maintained areas . Harrah’s WAS our number 2 but it has gone down with the current pandemic. Last time I checked Harrah’s was the same price as the Holiday Inn down the street at $65 weekday OMG 😱... NO Thermal Cameras like most casino now

Yes, the Borgata rooms are incredible and all we always feel their staff really all go out of their way to make you feel welcome and a valuable guest no matter your status with the casino. Bally's is all right for what it is and we value it largely for the ability to also earn Vegas status if you gamble there. That's really rough Harrah's hasn't installed more security measures, we haven't been back yet since things re-opened, but definitely agree that price tag would keep us away.
