I actually searched his videos for an Asbury video after hearing in one of his other videos apparently he's from Paterson to begin with. I'd love to see him do an Asbury interview cause they are gentrifying the *fuck* out of there right now. East side of the tracks is flooded with white tourists year round now. Only whites you used to see around there a few years ago were punk kids going to and from the old Lanes. Now it's a hot tourist spot, even got them electric scooters and shit, but you still don't see any white people going west of the tracks lmao A Neptune video would be hard too, Neptune and Asbury have always been like two parts of the same whole.

CharlieBo313 wow those narrow side streets back there in the hood where you was at. Ya i remember living there in 85-87 as a 14 year old and ill tell you man it was nothin nice then but i had some good memories of playing tackle football in the street with a foot and a half snow on the ground. It was the winter of the great 1985 Chicago Bears dominance. I was just a kid and crack cocaine dominated these streets. I never messed around, i was always in my sports and ill tell you if it weren't for sports im afraid to think of just where i could have ended up. I Count my blessings to this day. I haven't been to that hood since i departed for California in 1990. As bad as the hood is i still miss it. At that time we had just moved from Queens/L.I. i was born in Queens but i never grew up there. We left for Bayshore L.I. when i was 3 in 1975. I watch a lot of your uploads but i never commented till you hit one of my old hoods. You do really good work and i don't know of anyone else that does it like you on KZbin. Keep the memories coming! It's a comparatively run-down section in an older city. I get that. However, compared to East Cleveland, say, it looks fairly well maintained, not to mention far more vital. Even Cleveland is getting better, though. I was away for about ten years and where I remember seeing dead-looking abandoned buildings there are now vacant lots and quite a bit of new construction.
@miriambucholtz93156 жыл бұрын
I know that; I'm just a few miles away from it, myself. However, I was quite surprised to see that, after having been away for years, many of the places I remember in various parts of the city are no longer there and that there has been some new construction. Many places in this country have a long way to go, but it can happen.

How could he? There's much worse areas in AC. But they're small. Gotta go around The Stanley Holmes Housing projects, Carver Hall Apartments, and other areas. The Back Maryland section is real violent but doesn't look all that bad. Tennessee Ave. Drive down Atlantic Ave to see a crowd of fuck ups loitering around commercial areas. Plus, when was this an early Sunday morning? Where is everyone? Connecticut hoods aren't shit. Sorry people, but they ain't. Bridgeport was wild in the 80's. Yeah, Hartford has some places. carey540 I’ve seen some shady-looking people there, too, especially at night.

carey540 lmao...those funny looking characters are crackheads, prostitutes, pimps, homeless ppl, smack heads (heroin junkies) , drug dealers, the mentally ill walking around town like zombies, and 15 yr olds that will blow ur brains our for 200. This video was a bad 2018 representation of AC

Grew up in the area this video definitely does no justice these are the nice areas. Between 1995-2006 AC averaged 50 homicides a year, then you add P'ville which is next to it you come close to 100 homicides a year. Where i live now i tell people about the raids,shootings and killings they think it out of a movie. O YEA FYI summer is most dangerous in AC and P'ville whole blocks get shot up.
