Atlantis SquarePantis was a big SpongeBob special back then. Not only it was a musical, SpongeBob and the gang got to go to Atlantis. Its pretty big SpongeBob adventure, that surprisingly nobody liked.

I remember watching this special when I was a kid. Made me laugh and all the songs they’ve sang was great. Not gonna lie, but this was one of the best SpongeBob episodes not only of Season 5, but the whole series. Of all the adventures that SpongeBob has been on, this indeed had to be the biggest one yet.

You guys are finally watching one of my favorite Spongebob episodes. This was the most hyped episode back then. They actually made a video game based on this for the PS2 system and it an alright game. The intro song to the game had a beautiful melody at the beginning.

25:21 There is a Spongebob Atlantis game on the DS! The game (which is dope AF) was heavily centered around this episode, and it did implement some of the fighting moves that Sandy used, like Mr. Krabs' claws, and Patrick being thrown like a ninja star. From what I remember anyway.😊

Alot people hate this special but I love it. Maybe it’s nostalgic? Because it used to air a lot on Nickelodeon as a kid and I used to play the Tie in game on the Ds. It was a really fun game. Ds is Superior version though. I heard the consoles versions were not that great.

I actually thought the console version was okay, but I'll admit having to playing the levels at least 3 times too earn all 3 medals can get repetitive after a while. I also 100% beat the console version too without using any cheats which just goes to show how much patience 12 year old me had with that game and playing the levels over and over again. Part of me wishes I had the whole getting to 100% completion documented, but at the same time, it would be like a 16 hour longplay video if I did that.

One of my all time favorite SpongeBob specials and probably one of the first SpongeBob episodes I ever watched. At least one of the first in my memory. All the songs are great, it’s got fun and creative animation, patchy segments, david Bowie as a guest star, a fun story, funny jokes, and all the best SpongeBob characters together. Still the best after all this time

1:18 The guy in the car behind him is Paul Tibbitt, he became the show runner of SpongeBob after Stephen left. Also, David Bowie guest stars as Lord Royal Highness, I don’t know if you know who he is but, he was a famous 70’s glam rock musician known for his alter ego character persona “Ziggy Stardust” that supported the album of the same name. He was a fan of the show which is why he got the role, he was supposed to have a song to sing but, he joined late as the songs were already created by the time he recorded his lines. Rip David as he unfortunately passed in 2016.

But, you are right because I’ve heard people didn’t like him even though I have heard that Stephen had said himself that he trusted Tibbitt when he left.
