You were absolutely correct it is such a shame that this facility went from mothball to totally gutted and flooded. However the clarity of the water in the launcher is amazing!

I hate when they do the LCC’s like this. 576-E was done in the same fashion, but the silo is dry. Imagine blasting a couple million lumens down into that abyss and finding some crib structure under there!

Were there different paint schemes used at different sites? Or was the seafoam green painted over by later owners? I hate seafoam green.

Haha, most people do! It’s interesting, most of the sites including Plattsburgh had a two-tone paint scheme of sea-foam green and a greenish yellow… but take a look at the Nebraska sites, they’re more of a forest green!

Me too! Especially with the fish-eye lens new phones have… you could get so much more in a horizontal shot!
