Great stuff ! I used to collect Atlas Machinery ads from Popular Mechanics Magazines of the 40's & 50's and always wanted one of these Mills.

Well I had this mill for years and used it very little. My Clausing vertical mill gets used 1000 times more than the horizontal mill ever did. I use to drool over the Craftsman tool catalogue every year. Metal lathes and the like.

Seven years later, I'd be curious how much money you got for it. Today, people want to take your bank account in order to buy their machine. I bought mine in 2016 for $450 in good condition. I still love it to this day.

It has been some time back but think I got $900. It was in pristine shape though. I have a nice Clausing vertical 8520 and did not use the vertical unit at all. Have a great day.

Nice I was looking for a atlas mill go with my 12 and 6 inch lathes but came across a Sheldon horizontal mill I almost didn't go it was priced so cheap at 300 dollars, so glad I did was much better than I imagined was in perfect working condition, had 15 cutters and even a end mill holder with many end mills,, has no 9 brown and sharp taper arbor very compact but weights about 800 lbs weight everything with a mill,, hard to find deals like this,, l see you got 1100 and no offense but it's not half the mill the Sheldon is.

No offense taken at all. When you list an item on eBay you never know what it might bring. Glad you found a great buy on the Sheldon mill and hope you are enjoying it as much as I did the little Atlas.

It sold locally for $1100. Had a good deal of tooling and etc. that went with it. Good luck with your sale.

It was an excellent piece of equipment. I am getting ready to list it cousin. It is an Atlas 7" shaper in equally as nice shape.
