Oh for sure! And A-Calc is a pretty good tool to have as well for determining favorite foods and such, even when server rates have been adjusted

LOL>. well.. it isnt quete dead yat, there ae still a lot of people playing, especially on unofficial servers. I have a 2x2 grid (hopefully soon to be a 3x3) where we have about a dozne people playing, and INdecent Queens has a lot more! If you miss playing, come on out.. or check the link in the description for the website I listed that has links to hundreds of servers for all kinds of play styles. :)

Depends on the server. If you check out the link you can see which servers are PvP and likely check the link to their website explaining how they have their servers set up. Since its run on a private instance, they set the rules. :)

A few questions .. I'm just starting the game for the first time . I don't want to play pvp as of yet untill I learn the controls and develop some kind of strategy . But if I start in single player and aquire a bunch of resources and level up my character , can I then transfer over to another pve or pvp server on official and keep my leveled character and all the items I gathered ? Ships i created and such ? .. I'd hate to to rack up a ton of hours in single player and then switch to another pve or pvp server on official only to have to start from scratch lol.. any recommendations from you would be very appreciative 👍👍 ... Love your tutorials man ! thankyou and sorry for my long comment haha

Unfortunately, you would not be able to move a character from single player to an official server (PvE or PvP). If you just want to try the waters (pun intended) you can try some unofficial servers and you may not want to even bother with the official servers. All depends on your play style. Some of the unofficials (like Indecent Queens and Radioactive) even have larger grids that the official game does.. so.. more exploring to be had :) Another issue with officials is that they do a server wipe with each "season" so.. about every 3 or 4 months.. where most unofficials do not wipe unless they absolutely HAVE to due to changes in the base code of the game. I also run a small set of server (PC, and PVE). Only 4 grids, but if you are looking to have some fun, learn the game, there are some great people playing and tons of others who can answer any questions in discord. I guess now I’d prefer to play mostly PVE but wouldn’t mind a small bit of PVP .. is there a way or a server where I can turn off my PVE flag and run PVP so when I feel confident enough to take on other skilled players , the option is there ? Also the server wipe would blow on official lol .. definitely don’t want that .. perhaps I’ll give your server a try .. indecent queens sounds pretty good too .. my play style would be mostly leveling and gathering and trying to stay out of the PVP hell fire lol .. just until I can be a force to be reckoned with .. but first I have to learn the ropes and looking for a server that doesn’t do wipes often and can accommodate all the rest . another random question, where do i find solidified essence in single player? im trying to learn the ships bottling but it says i need that and i also didnt see it on either the app or the website from this vid. any advice is welcome:)

To the best of my recollection, that is a drop when taking down SoTDs (specifically Galleons) but I also believe I have gotten some from killing Army of the Damned soldiers as well.

Great explanation. How do you look at your character? Mine is... shy?

On PC, to look at your character in the face, you hit the K key (its a toggle for the orbital camera) and you can move it around to see yourself from the front. Make sure to toggle it back though before roaming around, because you can only move forward and back or side to side.. no turning around or dodging incoming damage :)

Thank you for that info, that map does not show were I can get gems that don't have drakes etc. I am 67 and not that quick at the controls & end up dead most of the time. I am still working out how to catch animals & also building boats. I will get their but it will take me a lot longer than the young ones. Bless you have a lovely day

LOL, I've been playing since it launched in 2018...it fluctuates from being a glitchy mess to being my all time favorite game. I'd look to pick it up when it's on sale, but yeah, we are on a "having a blast playing" phase 😁

What version are you playing? PvP, PvE, Console or Single Player? Interesting, in previous seasons it has shown wheat. Possibly its only available from Seed vendors in Freeport this season? They change their stock every game day, so thats usually how I get wheat seeds.

So I found this on the wiki "Toxic Flora is a new Toxic Compound that can be harvested from Mushrooms on islands with the Swamp Biome." I tried to find it on the website and didn't find. Is it still possibled to harvest it from swamps?

It is, IF you can find it. Much easier to use ants to passively generate it. That's actually the subject of my next video... Should be out in a few days

The best resource Ive found is at atlas.antihax.net/ You can go there and click on the kind of game you are playing ( Official PvP, Official PvE, Console, or Single Player) That will bring up a grid of all the islands currently available. There is a drop down on the far right (looks like a stack of papers) that you can use to check the things like bosses and altars (if you are looking for cursed resources) If you zoom in and hover your pointer over an island for a sec, a list will pop up of all the resources available on that island.

Honestly, I dont know. It should be in a polar biome grid. We have it on our OG server. If you'd like to drop in discord and play a small PvE map, you can at least see what shape the island is. Or DM me on Discord and I can send you a screenshot of the grid. Yuli1961 in discord. :)

I FOUND IT! Bottom right island in F11 is where the Yeti cave is located in Single Player :)

I just looked up Atlas 2023 on YT, in your opinion has it gotten massively better since the first 6 months it was launched?

Massively is relative, so it depends on what you like and what you are willing to accept. The game still has issues, but it HAS gotten more stable, and they have added things to the game that have made it easier to play and enjoy. I've been playing since it launched and have dropped out several times but I keep coming back because it's just fun to play in my opinion. If official servers aren't your thing, then there are LOTS of unofficial servers where you can find great groups of players. There is also a solo option that has also gotten a bit better over the years. I would not pay full price for the game, tbh because it goes on sale fairly regularly, and I believe is currently on sale on Steam for less than $10US. For that price, I consider it well worth the hours of fun I've had playing, even if you take out times where I've been less than happy with the devs. This is strictly an opinion of the PC version, I have not tried it on XBox, and, like so many PC titles that get ported to console, it has been less than stellar.
