Gotta say your videos so far have been super helpful in understanding this new Powerplay system! I was also wondering what crazy person got rank 118 within a week of PP2 release, it all makes sense now. I do have a couple questions i hope you could answer? 1: Where can someone find the discords for the various factions. I feel like being able to talk to fellow power mates would be fun and add a level of coordination in the system. 2: What's the difference between the mini care-package and normal care packages and do they reset (disappear) in the weekly reset? 3: What trucking route are you running now with the nerfs they've done to resource amounts. Im currently running a route of Baird Gateway -> George Lucas -> Shifnalport -> Sharon Lee Free Market -> Whatever target system 200ly away. Each run nets me about 124 rare commodities (i don't buy the Evil Juice as it illegal in most systems I've tried to sell) and a little over 3000 per run. Also the weekly assignment are indeed weekly, I guess you don't have them cause your already over 100. Looking forward to more vidoes!

Thanks for this. How much Powerplay NPC aggro do you get once pledged? Especially when not doing Powerplay actions. In the preview server it was a lot, but they say it's been dialled down. I'm thinking about it but I don't want it to cause trouble when going to community events etc, where player of different powers mix socially.

ive been jumping through and active in "hostile" systems but only really had issues like 2 or 3 times and that was specifically in hostile strongholds when i didnt know what i was up to

Honestly, I got zero agro getting all the way to level 118. The only time I was attacked was when I shot first. But that is all subject to change as they balance.

If you go to power home systems/stations of opposing powers, NPCs will atack. At least that's what happenend to me at Harma.

The cannon is probably shooting like that because you had the power dock "locked". All gimbaled hardpoints get that wobbly effect when you lock something. If you remove the lock that cannon is going to shoot straight.

@@daslittlepuma I didn’t have the lock on initially. I put it on to see if it made a difference. But the only thing I didn’t test was actually having a locked target so with a test. Still was not impressed with it even if not wobbly.

@@AtlasRandGaming You had the Power Dock targeted the whole time, it’s just normal gimbal jitter. It has slightly higher DPS then a normal gimbaled cannon (you compared to a fixed cannon which isn’t really fair)

Rares. They're currently the only possible way to hit rank 40+ in a week. And while you don't necessarily NEED a FC, just having an FC turns a 3-4 day grind into a 1 to 2 day grind. Cuz a single full 25k ton haul of a FC would net you 350k to 400k merits(roughly 25k to 30k merits per hour which can be hit by a Hauler ship, not just FCs) And instead of making 3 to 4 jumps(in your chosen Hauler vessel) for the max profit on rares youre just docking and depo'ing after a round trip then doing it again until your FC is full then making a single jump and offloading everything while the FSD cools down. It takes at minimum 15 to 20 hours of doing this to fill up your FC once(Lotta factors can shorten it or make it longer). All this assumes my mathing is right. But again FCs aren't required and it can be done in the Type 8, Type 9, Cutter, etc anything that can do 30-40LY jumps with 200+ tons of cargo. So if you play on average 2-4 hours a day then you'll be able to easily hit rank 100 in a week but it would require the full week or close to it, to do so. Not necessarily "fun" because its repetitive af but it is the fastest/pretty much only way to hit max rank in a week since the rares prices are static and never change and have a static restock time and a guaranteed stock amount so long as the faction selling them can still sell them.

Well, I just handed in about 2 million worth of exploration data I had just gathered, and got zero merits. Am I supposed to redeem them anywhere special? Or is it just redeem them normally at UC? I am in an Exploited system, and it does say under the PP info I can hand in cartographic data here to help reinforce. Could this be a bug?

Hmm.. I honestly didn't notice the last time I handed it in. I did get a bonus for handing it in via Li, but didn't notice any merits one way or the other. They just re0enabled it so maybe you handed it in before they turned it on?

I highly doubt these weapons use magazines, there isn’t any way these weapons could reload realistically and even if they could using magazine would be really silly. Most weapons of this style either use a belt (which technically fall under clips) or hoppers (again, technically a clip).

Ok so to get pedantic. They do use magazines. A magazine in any firearm whether small like a pistol or large like a 305mm naval gun is the location of the unfired round of ammunition from which the breech is loaded. Some firearms, like say the Bofors 40mm had 4 round clips stored in the magazine but you don't specify the capacity of the firearm by the clip size, you specify by the magazine size. Inside the magazine the ammuniton can be , packed, loose, on a belt, in clips, or fed through a veriety of means into the breech. Elite saying that the maximum ammunition capacity is 2000 round clip is absoilutely an indicator that the person who wrote the description has not studied firearms. The capacity is going to be of the magazine. Clips or belts are the method of feeding the ammunition. You likely are thinking of handgun magazines, which are removable magazines, but that is just one type of magazine.

@@AtlasRandGaming The main differentiator between clips and magazines is propulsion, magazines propel the rounds themselves whereas clips are propelled by the weapon. If we were referring to the reserve ammo then yes, magazine would be technically correct but for ammo loaded in the weapon clip is the more accurate term.

Congrats on no 1 top 10 but the method you used to get there in 60hrs has been totally nerfed since yesterday so for everyone here wandering how the f. he got to 900k merits...answer is he was trading rare goods before they totally nerfed it yesterday and no one else can do it anymore. Good for you, bad for everyone else(or good for everyone cus it shuldnt be that easy for sure). I also dont agree with frontier stripping ranks from people for doing that, it was their design and just the fact some were lucky to use it dosnt meant they need to be punished for it. Anyways for those wandering what is the new best way to level up....give it a week and someone will find new bug/exploit. This was always the case and it will continue to be a case forever in elite. o7 CMDRS

@@Legion82AXIN I generally agree with the sentiment but tho things. First there was no nerf, there has always been a mechanic in the game before PP2 came out that a decrease of commodity availability happens when the rate of purchase goes up. This has happened in the past with community goals for example. Second is that there was no exploit or bug used because all the material purchased and sold was during the week of competition, unlike people who used years worth of biological date to get to lever 800. As far as what’s the current best method, I’m working with a few other commanders to find out, even now using the exact same method I used you can do 5800 merits per hour or about 340,000 merits in the 60 hours I did this for last week. Better question is do you really wasn’t to do hauling for 60 hours in a week? The game intention is to make level 100 a multi month process and for most players it will be. What I did is no different than going to do bio scans for 60 hours in one week. Very repetitive but can be done to make many billions.

@AtlasRandGaming supply of rare goods in stations reduced almost 5x and now selling with almost no profit. I did 1 run post Thursday and after selling 150 rare goods I got about 400 merits. That method is dead. I dont discourage in any way what you've accomplished, I'm simply letting people know this is no longer possible in that time frame.

@@Legion82AXIN Yes, and no. You do seem to be correct with the greatly reduced supply, as I only see 16 Relics now, instead of the 80 I was getting on Wednesday. Plus the buy price is 10x greater too, 17000cr instead of 1700cr. However, before the server tick, I was getting 48 merits per tonne when selling the Relics (3127 for 80 tonnes). Now I'm getting 58 per tonne (930 for 16 tonnes), based on distance and sell price (going to the same sell station for the same sell price). If I had bought them at the old price, that would probably be roughly 70 merits per tonne now. So, while they have reduced stock and increased price, they seem to have boosted the merit gain. I am now only able to pick up 20% of the amount I could before, but I am getting 20% more merits per tonne. Yes, overall that's probably a bit of a nerf, but it's nowhere near as bad as it could have been, and not as bad as people are making it out to be.

Do you know if I can store rare goods on my carier and repeat the loop to gather more or do I have to sell them before they respawn again at their locations ???
