Whats this!?!?!? A podcast I adore and a song I'm obsessed with in the crossover I never knew I needed!!!?! Seriously I was scrolling for community gardens animations and I saw this & was like NO WAY. This is chef's kiss I am delighted and my brain has momentarily stopped functioning, in a good way. Also Jane Prentiss saying "you honeycomb" made me snort, I did not expect it but I Loved it. And the way Not-Them's arm comes out of one frame and grabs onto the other, with the foreshortening?? hello i'm gushing over an animatic again- the yellow flash in the beginning with the eyes and the nameplate changing? so cool. your younger jon design is nice. the sliding panels is a very neat effect! the archive staff changing as the story progresses... MAN it's beautiful and brilliant but it *hurts*. i kept pausing that bit just to watch them change. poor michael shelley, man. also the coloring and spiral overlay in that bit is Very Cool. baby jon with "a guest for mr spider"! "you honeycomb" with jane prentiss,,, the flesh hive,,, you're a GENIUS "be so cold" as the not-them reached out and sasha's face disappears into static... the frame going fully greyscale... ugh i Love It i love all the scenes with the triple panels so much, they're beautiful. your nikola strikes the perfect balance between creepy and innocent-looking. it matches her voice perfectly. explosion effect is very neat OKAY YOU DIDN'T NEED TO HURT ME WITH MARTIN NEXT TO JON'S COMA BED the watcher's crown matched up with this lyrics is another genius timing move. also, i love the way the panopticon is literally watching jon and martin. EYES SWIRLING AROUND JONAH,,, the purple lightning in the bit with spider!annabelle adds a very important Something to it. what that is, i don't even know. it just does. the green lighting in the panopticon! honestly all your choices of color palette for various scenes are great the eye-wings and eye-halo jon gets when he becomes the pupil are neat af why did i laugh at jon facedown on the floor holding up his rib HELLO THE PANEL AT 1:45 WITH MARTIN AND THE LONELY FOG AND THE RECORDERS ON THE COFFIN,,, the scene in the lonely! my heart! ooh,,, melanie,,, that scene hurts "the years have been hard on this *lonely heart*" was that intentional there? ughh in the last scene they look almost happy for just a moment,,, then the knife and the spray of blood behind the "you"... hurts almost as much as the pod did.
