Day 9 of 31 Snare Drum Rudiments - The Flam Drag. Grab your sticks and drum pad to rock out with Thackery Harris of @Sp3 Percussion and also ATL DRUM ACADEMY.
The flam drag is one of the most difficult rudiments to play, especially if you do not have your basics or standard rudiments down. Drummers who have been drumming for a long time at a high level can flip this rudiment in so many ways. It's a combination of 3 rudiments which is the flam the drag, along with flam accents.Knowing all 3 of these rudiments and being able to put them together is why music education or percussion education is so important. This rudiment is commonly used on the drum line during show music, drum solos, marching cadences and drum battles.

This was a good video. One piece of friendly advice, maybe play it a little slower to teach it then speed up at a later point in video. Good tips verbally especially about the flam itself. Thanks.
