For any newcomers to Persona 3, I recommend utilizing Shinjiro throughout the entire game, especially during the final months. Make sure to level him up early, so he can access some of the most broken skills in the game - the higher the level, the better. Shinjiro plays an important role in the final boss. His presence definitely impacted me during the final moments of the fight :))

The sheer coolness of Justice Slocum's voice and how his down to earth nature contrasts Akihiko's new deep heroic tone is so so COOL! Adds to his unique place on the team due to how Shinji's delivery is distinctly less 'anime' than the rest of the team, while keeping close enough to Grant George's everyman vibe so he still fits on the team: love it!

Uh, Shinji doesnt use his "Stoicism" as a mask he's genuinely carrying a huge amount of guilt and regret and thats why he isolates himself most of the time from the Group

I am not familiar with Justice Slocum’s work, but man does he sound good here as Shinji. The first few seconds sold me when he almost went gaga over Koromaru, only to regain his composure so quickly. My opinions on the individual cast has varied wildly as the showcases were released, so I wonder how it will all play out in the end product.

Slocum’s performance seems to be trying to match Kazuyuki Nakai’s own voice and mannerisms, which is a contrast to what Grant George did where he didn’t go quite as deep but still gave a performance that FELT like Shinjiro. Overall, three different takes that all fit the character well. Edit: on closer listen, the new performance is like a middle ground between Nakai and George’s performances. Still, it fits Shinjiro.
