Always funny seeing how people not used to seeing hyper/bbw art react to this game tbh. I think the game being unapologetically furry and also very much reflecting the artist's tastes for proportions is good and bold. Yeah, its a shame some will dismiss the game in its entirety because of the furry aspects alone, but I'd rather see the game be a more focused experience with a clear target audience than some mainstream slop meant to appeal to everyone (ironically just ends up appealing to no-one).

I'm not sure if this is true, but I read a comment from another video about Atlyss that the game dev *was* going to make the game fully NSFW, but decided against it part way through to make the game more in line with their ideal action rpg. Again, this could be wrong, so take it with a shaker of salt. Also 3:40 Imp being at the top of the teirlist is really based 👍

I'm a furry, but I'm not too big on the fetish stuff that's often found in the community. With all the things I've seen in the furry community that has haunted my dreams, Atlyss is pretty tame in all honesty. The "RP" servers are pretty blatantly named so I've had no issue finding groups of people there to actually play the GAME....instead of with themselves.... My Poon has pretty standard proportions & there is even an option to hide the ridiculous slider sizes of other player's characters. Which is nice. The combat is great. I'm loving Bandit a lot, Mystic is pretty great too. Playing as a Warrior however feels like the challenge mode tbh. I can see myself losing many hours to this game as it gets updates.

Yea big agree, so long as you don't actively go looking for ERP servers you can mostly avoid the weird stuff. Glad to hear you're enjoying the game! I do agree that warrior is harder to play overall.

I agree! Anyone willing to give this game a shot despite being uncomfortable with the furry aspect has my respect. Going outside you're comfort zone ain't the easiest thing in the world, but you just might end up enjoying something you otherwise never would've known about. Also, yes. You can improve anything by simply adding more bounce.

I have max'ed 3 Imps(myfavourites) in Bandit, Fighter and Mystic flavours and I look forward to more dungeons, overworlds and friendly zones, Ooooh! and weapons and armour/outfits!

I feel like you overreacted a bit to the furry thing. Also being a furry isnt a fetish. Im not a furry amy more than you are but I have a lot of friends who are and they just like being portrayed as animal people more than people people. It adds a fresh and unique glow to expression that is fun and sometimes people are horny also. Just like you use Nergigante as your expression, some people use cats, and there's nothing wrong with being sexual at the same time. There are furry fetishes, for sure, but there's no need to be afraid of boobs on an anthropomorph. Just have fun and love each other! Great video btw ^-^

I agree that simply having an anthropomorphic animal-based avatar by itself is not the same as having a fetish (which is why I jokingly got so defensive about it), but at the same time this game undeniably caters to the portion of people who DO actually have a furry fetish through the body sliders and character designs. This aspect of the game will turn some people away since furries as a whole have an infamous reputation in online spaces, which I think sucks since the game does so many things well. That's why I spend most of the video praising the parts of ATLYSS that don't have to do with the fetish-y aspects of it lol. No disrespect meant of course to anyone who does enjoy those things.

My favorite build is Bandit, OOPS ALL VITALITY, weapons refactored to scale off Dex... and *all gear enchanted with Precise.* Passives: Melee Mastery (Coldgeist Blade), Ranged Mastery (Coldgeist Bow), Agile Technique I am considering switching to scepters though. Skill Slots: 1 - Devious Signet 2 - Bomb Trap 3 - Mist Veil 4 - Divine 5 - Sturdy 6 - Recovery The only downside of Bandit is that there is no specialized shield above the Mithril Shield, alas... That said, EVERYTHING - Mithril Shield, Jadetrout Ring, Fuguefall Pants, Fuguefall Duster, Deathward Cape (ACTUALLY better than Meshlink!), Glyphgrift Halo, AND my weapons - all are enchanted with, as stated above, _PRECISE._ The beauty of this is that every piece of equipment I'm holding is increasing my Dex Power, which makes my weapons more potent. It's Free Real Est--I MEAN *Damage!* I'm doing _nearly_ as much damage as I would have if I had dumped all my attribute points into Dex... but because I put ALL ON VIT, I can actually *live long enough* to dish it out. I might take 3-4 more seconds to kill The Colossus than a glass canon with perfect reflexes... but I don't have perfect reflexes. Precise *furthermore* increases your Crit Chance even more than Killer! Now, I *have* re-spec'd my stats since then to put at least A FEW points into Dex, since, as my reflexes improve, I need the HP a little bit less. But overall, my damage output is *actually capping out already.* If I re-spec again in the future, I might actually put a few points into Mind just to make Divine a teensy bit more effective. Other than that, I feel quite formidable in PvE and it's very satisfying and rewarding ^_^

Another thing to mention is that the developer/s are clearly fond of secret hunting so breaking the game and exploring out of bounds is a thing and it's highly encouraged There are 3 secrets in the Sanctuary alone, at least that I know of so far, but I'm not telling where or how to get to them - go figure it out on your own

Content creation - or, creativity in general - is hard and takes a lot to keep going with sometimes, and I find it admirable when someone spews out something solely because they had a fun idea and wanted to share it with others. I can't really dig into particular things that I find awesome without turning this into an essay, but there's a few things I'd like to mention. I think you've executed the "animated commentary" idea very well, where it's fun and adds personality, but doesn't take away from the actual thing you're talking about like how intermittent fully-animated scenes can. I also think the pixel art just looks plain cool. The editing style and humor shares these qualities where it's fun and snappy, but doesn't overstay its welcome or take away from the video. Kind of reminds me of Andrew Cunningham with how it's somewhat ssethtzeentach-adjacent, but without being overbearing or headache-inducing (Sseth if you're somehow reading this I love you it's just 2 AM and idk how to word). Reluctance to participate in furry shit I could do without the hornier aspects but I fear if it was removed it would actually detract from the art style over all. But I'd enjoy if I could make my character could be made un... Eh, your avatar is based off monster hunter, which is niche by itself even with world and wilds around.
