Brings me right back to being dopesick, lost everyone and everything I cared about begging god to just let the next shot of heroin kill me. Thank god something deep inside me wasnt ready to give up. 5 years later I'm clean, have a wife and kids, decent job and I'm a man that can wake up and look at my self in mirror. For anyone stuck in addiction dont ever give up, it took me more times then I can count to get and stay clean. It's worth it even if we all fall a few times.

Totally agree! Old-school Atmos was them at their best! The end of Old-school Atmosphere was after You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having in 2005, once When Life Gives You Lemons dropped it was very different, but overall it was an experimental album gone right. After that it's been pretty up and down with their later releases with some being okay and others not as good. I'd love to see an attempt or somewhat of a challenge for Slug & Ant to make something as great as their older albums. To have that Old-school Atmos feel; hell maybe even bring back Musab, DJ Stress, and Spawn even for an EP that'll be Legendary!!!

@@alfredobadillo2415 i really love When life gives u lemons, one of their best ever but a big styleswitch on some tracks of course. I agree with all the albums after that being a bit "hit and miss" sometimes. "Southsiders and" To all my friends " was fantastic though, "The Family Sign" really good and "Whenever" is criminally Underrated imo. "Mi Vida Local" had great moments but has his ups and downs. Delicate from that album is a top 5 track from them imo. Fishing Blues never really did it for me, not bad but im just not getting into it. Kinda have the same with the new "Word" now. FELT4U on the other hand was a super album 😁

I was a junkie for 15yrs I used to get high and listen to this song. Rap to atmosphere beats, all sorts of that. But God's Bathroom Floor..... That was the one that really hit home for me. Sleepless Nights, and Weeks I slept through, and the ungodly amount of people I've known who died from that shit. It started out fun for awhile, absolutely. Otherwise why would I have done it? It's just that the fun faded quickly but I didn't realize it til I was too deep. Waking up in strange cars in the desert, Sides of Highways, and just random places not knowing how I got there, I think the worst was the hospital, but it didn't matter as long as I had my bag. Now I'm 3yrs sober. This song still hits me just as hard as it did the first time I heard it. I'll never forget it, it was always this and then Sound is Vibration. RIP to all my dead friends.

I haven’t been sober for this long in years. No weed no alcohol and most importantly no meth. this song takes me back to the days I would be coming down after days of no sleep laying on my bed, I felt as if I was laying on gods bathroom floor begging to get me through it and that I’d never smoke again which was bullshit at that time. I'm not sure why, but there's something about this song. I'm from St Paul Minnesota, and these guys are from Minneapolis. I haven't lived in St Paul or Minneapolis in about 6 years now, moved out to Colorado. I dunno, I really miss living there- I still go back there twice a year to visit family, but it's not the same. My dad listens to Atmosphere too. Being 14, I can't really remember living in our Saint Paul home (which was my parents first house they bought together back in 2008) but I remember some things, like going to all these downtown restaurants, when I was 3-4. Today, my dad's two good friends contacted him today. "Hey! Were all saying cheers to you! The guy who currently lives in your old house is great and all, but he's no Aaron, everyone still talks about you guys. :)" Everyone we knew when we lived out there, still lives there, and remembers us. This song is nostalgic, along with Puppets and The Best Day, also by Atmosphere. To whoever reading all this, I wish you a great day. ❤ 10/6/24

Love that you're sharing such powerful earlier work with the unimaginably large and new audience you've garnered over all these years who might not be familiar with it. Such a powerful and vulnerable piece. As catchy as it is creatively structured as well. The idea of putting a few fragments of the four bar "chorus" as its own chorus and then fleshing them out into the full lines is so brilliant (just from a creative artistic standpoint) and equal parts obscure poetry as it is raw vulnerability. Peak rap, top notch atmosphere. Art at its finest. Thank you for everything you've done.

1st song i ever heard frm atmos... 2001! Boi!!!! dam time flys but ever since this track blessed my ears all them years ago ive been a loyal atoms fan, been to at least 8 shows, bought every album, met ant & slug! Got pics tooo 😎 the timing was absolutely correct in my life the girl i loved did me dirty and atmosphere filled that hole perfectly in my world i related to every track about lucy and couldn't feed my addiction to these artists (all of em! ) listening to them opens you up to so many other great artists brother ali eyedea grieves blueprint the list is insane! I literally still have every cd in my car and the catalog fills the entire small cd book lol... but now just hearing these tracks, the tracks ive heard a million times all the songs i kno every word to, the ones ive party to, been upset to, happy & every other emotional moment that involves growing up into a full adult atmosphere was there and helped with alot of it to. So now when i put on slug & ant it just brings me all them great memories & im so thankful that a friend introduced me to this artist. Music can literally save your life & its a shame that today its all about selling BS and running your mouth... like brother Ali said; every culture has a right of passage... you wanna bypass it... and sell me your practice🔥🔥🔥🔥... now think about that line in relation to today's so called artists. 🙄

I would cry to this on a comedown. Reminded me to straight myself up. Even Slug smokes now, but I hope I'll don't have to eventually.

I remember this song making me an Atmosphere fan. I still remain one as this guy is a modern day poet and his words speak to me like no other's. Peace out from România!

Crazy how this song can make you euphoric, thinking about the endless beauty of God's tiles and everything you love in life surrounding them. The past was dark but had many beautiful things to take to the the next beginning.

There is music, and then there are songs that are carefully crafted universes that, when listened to, transport you to their own special cosmic world that exists outside of ordinary time/space reality. This is one of those songs. Every time I listen to it, I have to listen again, bc it contains a portal to part of myself that connects with the artists vision. Words will never truly explain it, and I feel that even these words are useless, for nothing can do this song, or these types of songs, justice. I get the same feeling I got in 2006 listening to this song high in my college dorm as I do now in 2024 listening to it sober. Music like this is priceless. Slug, Ant and to everyone weaving their universes together through song, art, and creativity: Thank you
