I recently had a friend get arrested with a lot of heroin. for the last couple of days I've progressed through disbelief, anger and sadness. I've been trying to figure out what to write him. so instead of some, "how dare you, who do you think you are, what about your friends and family" bullshit, I wrote the lyrics from this song down and sent that. the relevance to his situation, the way I interpreted it, the lyrics spoke perfectly. thank you slug, ant, and everyone else that made this track from the bottom of my heart. thank you for knowing what I needed to say before I did. I cant believe fans that want Slug to sound exactly like he did on Lucy Ford, GodLovesUgly, Sevens Travel, etc. Dude has always shifted his style. From Ford and Ugly to Sevens Travels to You Cant Imagine... to Lemons to All My Friends and Family Sign to Southsiders and these singles. Slug aint been prime since 2005 IMO. 2000-2005 was his peak for me. But he stills got it to where he sounds subdued and mature, but still can resonate with me.
