Four 11 years I had always been fixated on the cover performed by the Academy of Performing Arts in Paris. Until I accidently stumbled upon yours today (29 FEB 2024). I do not understand why this has not gotten millions and billions of views and Likes! You guys managed to capture the suite note by note...and that is something that not all the ensembles that pay homage to Pink Floyd have achieved until now: with their own talent they executed a great musical work EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD BE PERFORMED. Thanks and congratulations.

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, and i like pretty much all of their albums but it's odd that this is my favorite but the band don't like it themselves. The effect of all the themes from each part reaching a climax after silence in the studio is heavenly
@Syfoll6 жыл бұрын
I find myself in the same position as you, but I somewhat understand why they might not like. First of all, we don't know Rick's and Nick's opinions. David didn't like it, because, in spite of his amazing talent and very important role in Floyd, he is the most "mainstream"-minded out of all 5. Roger is by far the most ambitious, so it's natural that he doesn't like looking back on some aspects or parts of their career.
@amused2death7755 жыл бұрын
Pink Floyd don't like it because this piece has very little to do with them. It's mostly Geesin's ideas, his stuff. Floyd would go on to write better and more original suite next year. Echoes, which is vastly superior. More power to them.

Very Good Work.

AMAZING!!!

Holy hell...that was a magnificently spendid rendition! Well done by all you tremendously gifted musicians and vocalists! 👏👏👏 (This is gonna be a rather long, detailed narrative, but I feel incumbent to proclaim why this album has such a meaningful place in my heart.) Back in 2006, I had just returned to my hometown from Utah where I was working, to visit family and friends for a couple of weeks. When I entered my home state, I picked up an ounce of psychedelic mushrooms from a friend of mine whom lived upstate. Two days after visiting with family, I went to a friend's house on a Saturday. Our intent was to have some beers, catch up and have a good trip on the mushrooms I had brought to town once the evening fell. We intended to have just myself and another friend of ours over for the evening to enjoy our trip. They already had knew I was bringing the Fun-gi to town. We each consumed 3 grams to start off the trip. After we ate our grams, we always enjoyed smoking a few joints to ease into the otherside. After about an hour and a half, the shrooms had taken its course. That's when my friend told me: "look at what I found at the record store. It was Pink Floyd's album - Atom Heart Mother, on vynyl. He absolutely loved vynyl. His vynyl player was hooked up to a very nice stereo system with surround sound. All 3 of us were well aware of the album, but had never heard it personally. In those days, it was a rare album which was extremely hard to come by. Not like in the now. We had only heard it was a very good album through word of mouth. As he went to the area where his entertainment system was at in his living room, my buddy and I, went on over and layed out on 2 of the 3 separate couches which were in a "U" like formation. My other friend, layed out on the other. As the album commenced, all 3 of us were silent throughout its entirety. The only time we would speak most shortly, was when a song would finish and quickly chat for about 20 seconds about how beautiful that song was, then we went silent once again, enjoying the album while passing around joints. It was the most blissful and serene psychedelic trips I had ever had in my life! The wonderful experience of psychedelics, silence, and enjoying this absolutely remarkable album with longtime friends for the very first time. It was an experience that I will forever remember for the rest of my days. Everytime I hear this album, track one in particular, I still to this very day literally get a goosebump, electric-like sensation from the back of my neck, up to the back of my brain on certain parts in track one. Atom Heart Mother had taken 36 years to find myself and my 2 buddies, but when it did...it created an amazingly lifelong memory and experience we will all *never, ever forget!* 🐄🍄

Excellent rendition! Brilliant recording. I love listening to covers of this, there are more than I would have thought! I happen to have a bootleg of this. It's on very heavy vinyl and both sides last just over 30 minutes. I have been told by a friend that values vinyl for charity shops, who's got loads of catelogues, that it's a live recording of them in San Francisco in the early seventies. It is very good! On the other side is a bit of a mixture of live recordings including Cymbaline and Granchester Meadows. I bought it in 1979 from a friend of a friend, and he actually apologised for the cost, which was £10. I would have been 15 or 16 years old, and it would have been the equivalent of maybe 15 hours part time work. I hand several jobs paying different amounts, some very low . Unfortunately it was in a plain white cover with no art work. About ten years ago it was valued at about £200. But there are versions with covers with rather good artwork, and some had a big poster that unfolded. As there probably wasn't too many in the first place, and they're easily damaged those posters are even more valuable than the bootleg. I consider myself lucky to have this vinyl though, and personally would prefer to have that rather than the rare artwork. I don't think I've listened to it this year, I've listened to the official Suite recoding several times this year. Guess what I will be doing next. Thank you
