Compare the brightness of the atomic beam in 2:19 and 3:24. See the difference?

That's good to know. I suppose it's possible I received a defective one or the batteries differ.

You must be one of the 1 in 100 people who think this is good. I am a flashlight connoisseur and I purchased the same looking flashlight from China. Came with a 18650 battery, 90 to 250V charger, 3 x AAA holder, a Genuine Cree XML2 U2 led, Glass lens (Not plastic), proper sealing i.e. No water penetration at all unlike this Atomic one and the Bell and Howell. How much did it cost ? US5.95 including delivery. This Atomic USA company probably goes to the OEM in China and says, ditch the glass lens, we will take Plastic, replace the Green neoprene seals with Black rubber. Don't worry about the charger and battery, we will sell those separately. And they probably get them for US$1 and sell them for $20 !

I thought this was a pretty good review bringing out many good points. I was ready to purchase the Atomic Beam until I saw in the video how less bright it is in comparison to the Bell Howell TacLight. However, I noticed that 3 AAA alkaline batteries were used in the Atomic Beam flashlight. What if a Lithium battery was used instead? The rechargeable Lithium battery and charger is available on their web page for $12.99. I have a feeling that the light would be much brighter using the Lithium battery but I do not know for sure without seeing it. What type of battery was in the TacLight? It's not a very good comparison between the two lights if this information is not known. Also, how long does the light last on high when using Alkaline batteries and when using the Lithium battery? If I had to guess I would think maybe 30 minutes with Alkaline batteries and may 45 minutes with a Lithium battery. Thank you though for this video.

I'm sure it's safe to say that the lithium batteries would output brighter light. I used 3 AAA batteries on both flashlights.

People she's obviously lying about the brightness at 3:24 with the comparison with Taclight if you go back to where she supposedly shows the Atomic beam by it self at 2:19 you'll notice that then it is as bright as when she shows the Taclight in the comparison. Also why the sudden change from going from outside to inside,make me feel something is off there.She also did not show us the flashlights just before the comparison of the brightness of the two so there is no true indication that she was using the flashlights she claimed to be using.I do agree that there is some faults but it not with the product it is the company itself.Well in my opinion it is a good product just it was over hyped by the company compared to how it functions, but as it is advertised on its package it is 40x brighter than a traditional flashlight. So I ask you HighYa/Olga why would you lie like that? You make me feel that the company of Taclight had paid you to lie like this which makes me feel disappointed in you that you let people use you like that.

Anthony Hughes I totally agree with you i watched the review from those 2c chics about both of these flashlights the atomic beam and the bell and howel tac light and both of those women gave a more honest review on them compared to what olga has on these and the atomic beam flashlight came out to be a better made brighter flashlight so I definitely believe Hiya and olga got paid a bunch of money to lie about the atomic beam flashlight

I think you had a mildly defective Atomic Beam light. The flickering on that light is a good indication of a bad bulb. These lights are virtually the same and the results should have been pretty close.
@olgabelous
@olgabelous 7 жыл бұрын
That is possible, although I didn't notice a flickering. I assumed they used a different bulb, however it's definitely possible it was defective.

The atomic beam light that I purchase also flickered. It was a bad switch. I received another one and I still had the same problem a bad switch. I put the thing in the trash and I went out and I bought a real flashlight...OxyLED MD50 for approximately the same price. It came with an 18650 battery and charger and adapter for 3 AAA batteries. It is much better and much brighter.

I purchased the the atomic beam flashlight... what a mistake that was. Go to Amazon purchase the oxy LED md50. It comes with a 18650 battery and charger. Also an adapter to use 3 AAA batteries with this flashlight. And I paid about the same price that I paid for the Atomic beam piece of junk. The OxyLED MD50 is also much brighter. Out of the 10 top rated lights of this type...it was rated number 3.

Well for starters if you going to be doing a review on a flashlight you should probably also use a 18650 for comparison. You should also show the flashlights before use so we know you're actually using that particular flashlight. My son bought me this flashlight and I'm using an 18650 and it's pretty damn bright. Using AAA does not do this flashlight justice.

Good overall review, though I agree with what others have said in that the brightness comparison test with the Bell & Howell is meaningless without knowing what type of battery was used in the B&H. The Atomic Beam comes with an insert advertising their 3.7V rechargeable lithium ion battery, and it states that using it takes the brightness from 5000 lumens to 13000 lumens (vs using 3 AAA batteries). I'm not supporting the credibility of this claim, but it highlights that they believe using a 3.7V lithium ion battery will drastically increase the intensity of the light, and from everything I have read this is true. If the B&H TacLight also used 3 AAA batteries then all of this is moot, but the problem is we have no idea of whether that is the case. Of course anybody who does want to get a 3.7V lithium ion battery + charger would be better off getting it on Amazon for a better deal.

Not 13000 lumens . 13000 lux which is like 500 lumens. The 5000 lux brightness is not lumens "lux" is different. 5000lux is like 200 lumens. Trust me 13000 lumens is like a 1000 watt sky caster beam for carnivals. You cannot get 130000 lumens from 3.7v li ion let alone aaa batteries.

Good review! However in order to do a fair comparison I would have liked to see you do the gas burner test with the Taclight because I don't believe either light claimed to withstand an open flame. Otherwise good review though. :)

You might be right. There are a lot of identical-looking flashlights that are sold online for a much lower price. However, I can't speak to wether or not the parts inside those flashlights are the same/better/ or worse.

how do u plan to test a product in these conditions and only have one? For the taclight, u put it in boiling water for a minute. u held this one(the only one u had) over an open flame for SEVERAL minutes. what did u think would happen lady? that's a fire. c'mon with that nonsense.

I try as much as possible to repeat the test that are advertised on the infomercial. They won't be identical but hopefully will give a good idea of what the product can withstand and if the claims are true.
