Atomic Heart: Enchantment Under The Sea DLC Review - A Must Buy For Atomic Heart Fans

Enchantment Under the Sea is the third DLC release for Atomic Heart. The story picks up right where the game previously left off, and kicks things off with a bang, culminating in an epic boss fight that has you re-learn the core mechanics of the game as you take on a gigantic murderous robot. The real story starts shortly afterwards, and throws you into what is ostensibly Atomic Heart’s own take on BioShock’s Rapture.
The DLC features more linear level design that Atomic Heart has had so far, focusing on having the player making continuous progress as they explore a vast underwater facility. While excellent in terms of gameplay, complete with fun new powers to play with, the DLC also highlights a core problem with Atomic Heart’s combat, with enemy readability being quite an issue. Despite this, however, Enchantment Under the Sea is some of the best we’ve seen from Atomic Heart so far.

DLC is quite short (~4h), but I liked it. If you like main game, then don't miss this.

Honestly Mundfish deserves alot more credit than they get. Atomic Heart is brutal if you up the difficulty. To me it is like the Dark Souls of fps games and I love it. And for this to be a DEBUT from this studio is pretty amazing. Atomic Heart is very unique and instantly recognizeable, what other debut game can you say you remember being this good? I mean at this point its basically rare for a game to come out and not be a bug fest, Atomic Heart was polished out the gate. I can't wait to play this DLC, but I'm gonna replay the whole ass game at this point 💯

I'm partially excited for this. Atomic Heart takes a bit to click, but once it did for me, I couldn't stop! It has been a while, but I'll head back to Facility 3826 in due time.

Yeah, I tried it on Game Pass, but I wasn't having fun after the first hour, so I put it down and thought I wouldn't bother with it. I don't know what it was but I decided to give it another try the next day and after that I was hooked. It really becomes better once you get outside. I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed it so much in fact I decided to pick up a physical copy after it left Game Pass. It's like if Bioshock, Half Life and Doom had a baby.

Although 2 out of 3 DLCs were undoubtfully solid - I think you're right in that. Each time a come back to play AH - each time I seem to forget that its gameplay has its own unique pace and skill to it. And each time I get accustomed to it during DLC playthrough - it's already over lol.

Idk, i personally piked the game. The beginning was quite awful but after the first hour or so i started to dig it. I think the boss fights are fun too. Gameplay was awesome, not sure why everyone else thought it was bad. It can be clunky but its no different than what other master piece games have done. Story on the other hand isnt the best. So if you hate the dialogue and story i guess I can’t argue. Its good sometimes other times its really bad

I really enjoyed Atomic Heart.. it felt alot like Dying Light in its re used assets/scale/crazy ideas... It was definitely very annoying at times but all in all its quite an experience.. will def buy again when a complete edition comes out

Main story -> DLC2 -> DLC3 DLC1 is alternative timeline. I think you can skip DLC2 (it's weird), you will watch story recap at the begining of DLC3. But DLC1 is cool. I recommend to play it.

I was wondering the same thing, I think it recommends you finish the main game due to story reasons- but doesn't limit you if you want to just dive right in. Not positive though

Just be mindful that you won't have all your abilities, weapons & upgrades for the DLC's. It will keep the passive traits like "Character"& "Energy" maxed out (if you done that of course) but it will give you new weapons and abilities specific for the DLC. I recommend playing the DLC's with the new stuff, made it more fun and new!

The 3rd dlc was amazing I highly recommend finishing the game then playing the dlc the story is great and the ending for dlc 3 got me very hyped for the next dlc
