Yea the amount of copper on this video card was insane. I got mine from goodwill thankfully at a very good price, I've noticed the prices have gone up a lot lately

Awesome video! Fun fact, while handling the X1950XTX after a long session of gaming, it's best to wear an oven mitt for your protection.

I have a few Sapphire X1950XTXs and while they loud (because of the driver bug which only lets the fan operate at two speeds ... 30% or 70%), they are NOT hot. No hotter than any other top end cards of that era. Power consumption is high but in line with it's performance compared to other top end cards of that era. The bottom line is the 1950XTX was a beast, dominated the top end GPU market, lasted a good 3-4 years playing all games in high settings (which might not be rare today but back then it was a godlike achievement given generational leaps). I couldn't afford one back then, and I never bought top end anyway I'd go mid-high end usually, but I own a few X1950XTX's now and they are all amazing and not extremely hot. Just that annoying fanspeed bug! Drives me crazy.

The fan keeps going slow and fast all the time during intensive gaming. Really annoying, but great DX9c card. Beast.

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. There is no reason to take that kind of fall damage.

That toyshop demo still looks great too this day if you turn up the resolution & bring some anti aliasing + texture filtering into it.

X1900 PRO Dual was the fastest DirectX 9 card ( dual chip single card solution by Sapphire something like a Rage MAXX ).

1950XTX was the dream. It was so far ahead in terms of performance, especially at higher widescreen resolutions, but it cost a fortune in the UK. I remember I was still on a 7600GT, which was okay for the time still considering the games I played were mostly older or less demanding. But I was considering an upgrade to an X1800 Pro and remember thinking ... theres a card almost twice as fast as the card I desire to upgrade to. That's just insane! XD Brilliant cards, for many years after their release.

Rather the fastest video card that is not capable of directx 10 or above. I am sure last generation of video cards are directx 9 compatible.

radeon x1900 xtx for pci express bus radeon x1950 xt for agp bus are powerful graphics cards but the r580+ core can do more if they install the missing parts agp8pro bus and some other parts fix the videoram memory then it will be the most efficient graphics card for windows xp
