The way he touches the water because it was touched by her. Just poetic.

And because of another reason too. Water stands for life, death, and relationships, here we can see that water is completely transparent, so this means that their relationship is pure. On the other hand, in the scene where Robbie rescues Briony, water is muddy, so we can imagine what it means😅 but this is from my point of view as a reader, you are right too though, and yours is a beautiful interpretation😊

in the book, the purported reason was "to quell" the water. interesting?

Her figure is that of a healthy young woman. People naturally gain an average of 10 pounds every 10 years of additional life because of slowing metabolism. Look it up. Its perfectly healthy for a woman as young as Kiera is in this movie to be slender.

everything about this scene/ movie is just absolutely breathtaking, the glowing beams of dreamlike sunlight, the parallel structure and camera angles, the outfits, the transitions, the subtle hints at a former relationship (e.g she stares him right in the face as she removes her garments and he almost forgets to turn away) the innocence of two beautiful lovers, james, mcavoy
@_jolie_
@_jolie_ 12 күн бұрын
While promoting Speak No Evil, James said that in the library scene, he and Keira kiss for the first time and it shouldn't really work because both their characters are almost like brother and sister but then they try again and their tongues touch and suddenly something clicks and it's like they're both signing a contract for the rest of their lives. The fountain scene really is that moment where they get extremely close to that shift that will change them for good. They dare each other to do it while not daring to themselves.

Crivens, that runaway laugh he gives at 0:22 ... that truly is adorable. That, and the other laugh at 0:17. I wonder if those were scripted, or was it James McAvoy breaking character in the scene and they decided to leave them in because it made him seem so charming and endearing?

The thing about this film is that it's shot almost like a dream. Everything just seems to "glow" and perhaps, I'd like to think, it was intentional, knowing that at the end, it's because it's telling their story. It's made to draw you in and well, rip you apart at the end, I suppose. Very beautifully written and acted--the cinematography was impecable--the costume design--the score--all of it. Grandiose...

I love how my brothers, & sisters in humanity, commented on this clip here. They've expressed what I felt long ago about this scene. Oh merciful God. It melts me every time I watch it. Even after so many times of thinking that I will never feel this fever of love again.

Two very beautiful people in one scene I'm not gay but keira is like my new woman crush ugh she's so pretty her body is actually very nice I like my curves but if I was to be skinny keiras body for sure and that height gush supermodel x) and the guy idk his name he's HOT with his silly smile :D ...It's funny how women hate on someone with beauty that they lack stop the hating and appreciate beauty and class it brings beauty to your own life but hating makes you more uglier 😉

+Misz Bella Benzz A lot of people comment on keira's lack of a big chest but honestly, that's party why I admire her. She is real and beautiful the way she is. A lot of fake haters out there..

+IBeMelissa people say sometimes I look like Keira but with more weight (and less pretty) xD I still have hardly any boobs despite that but she is so thin

+IBeMelissa Keira is a bit underweight (I love her slim and delicate figure, but in some of her films it makes her look unhealthy), although the lack of breast size is something you rarely pay attention to in the movie as her emotional presence makes you forget about everything except her face :)

IBeMelissa yes i totally agree yes she is very skinny but its not like she lacks boobs and curves i do see she have some curves going for herself i would love to have that bod i wouldnt have no problem fitting into any clothingand yes i totally agree! i just think there just too many jealous people on youtube and its ridiculous half of them are not as pretty as keira which is the funny part. but glad that im not the only one who appreciates her beauty :))

Joe Wright loves them hand shots. They say so much. SO MUCH TENSION. And it feels so simple, but it's SO HEAVY
