Babolat pure Strike98(16×19)is the kind of racquet that almost any advanced level player can use optimally by minor essential customization ie strings,size-type of grip n adding some silicone if required. My all time favorite !!

As a high level player myself I don't pay much attention to the actual review instead I try to see how they hit with a racquet because there's too many variables strings, tension actual specs of racquets also what you're used to for example what racquet you use as a junior..I find these reviews as more entertaining then educational and some of the racquets baffle me instead of comparing aero to Dunlop tour 300sx it should of been head to head with the 300 sx anyways just my opinion..The feedback is ok to listen to.To anyone reading I would say listen to them but don't blind buy just because of a review demo and see if it suits your game..

With my level, I've always played the best with the pure drive since the Carlos Moya/Andy Roddick days because it's not a pure player's racquet which usually has smaller sweetspot and it is balanced across the board.
@cliveburks10 ай бұрын
I found Aero had less spin than the Extreme MP and at first didn’t play well with it went to the Extreme then decided I needed to hit more flat shops to keep up with hard spin hitting younger guys. I then discovered the Aero was a great control racquet as it has more plough through than the Extreme and more control and spin if needed than the Head Speed MP. Also Aero better on serve than Extreme more power for me. So the Aero now seems the best option for me which is a total turn around from when I first got it. If you miss the sweet spot however lots of vibration and ball just loops off the racquet as I have practiced with it I have got a feel for hitting the sweet spot. Thanks

I think the vcore game has a different layup to the vcore 100 (and even lighter vcore 100 models). Unless I'm wrong the vcore game is a beginner/intermediate targeted racket made cheap to sell cheap.

The Babolat Pure Aero VS would have made the final for him over the Head Extreme Tour, based on his preferences. Can't be 100% sure but it's a good bet. It's a racket I sometimes go back and forth with as a pure drive user myself. And I can totally understand why Alcaraz and Rune switched to it from their Pure Aero and Pure Drive respectively. Also, the head speed, the ezone 98, and the pure strike Vs shouldn't have been in there from what I can tell, unless he asked for them or behind the scenes there was info saying otherwise. Better rackets to put in there for this players preferences would have been the Ezone 100, Dunlop FX 500, and a vcore 98. The rest were ok I think. This player has similar preferences to me so that plays a role here but it's also just noting his likes and dislikes. Some of those choices of racket for this suggest you made them for business model reasons and not for the player (to get them in a video), unless he specifically said something that made these good candidates.

This babolat pure aero feels maneuverable like head extreme tour? Or is heavy in the swing?
@yopeople70 Жыл бұрын
Kind of late to the party, but the aero feels noticeably heavier in the arm. The weight of the Extreme feels consistent around the beam but the weight of the aero feels kind of non-linear around the frame. Extreme is much more maneuverable, although I did notice that reacting to a strong forehand and trying to run to and set up a defensive shot was more difficult than the maneuverability would suggest. To me, the aero's increased swing weight does not allow for the forgiveness that the specs would suggest. For a spin-dominant racket, I would say the extreme is one of the most maneuverable rackets on the market. I would say the aero has around 10-15% more spin and power than the extreme when hitting a good contact forehand, but outside the sweet spot, the crispness and feel of the aero dips much more than the extreme. You also need to be conscious of technique when hitting the aero. If your form is perfect, then hitting good, deep groundstrokes with the aero is consistent. However, if your form is not good, then groundstrokes tend to be unpredictable and the launch angle is variable. I also found that a couple shots that would have probably gone out while using the aero would barely go in while using the extreme. I think that the fact that Alcaraz uses an unmodified version of the aero is putting bias on people that the racket would be good for them. I recently demo'd both of these rackets and tried to find reasons to like it the aero, but as soon as I tried to get that bias out of my head, I couldn't justify liking it more than the extreme. The aero might be better for advanced level tournament baseline-dominant players who use heavier rackets and don't have a huge swing, but I'd say that the extreme is better for the majority of players.

98 Are they better for ohbh than 100
@RobertGarcia-s5z7 ай бұрын
@@andyv6299I use the PD98 and I'm finding it's not worth the damage, it will do ton to your arm. For a small amount of control, it's not worth it. Leather grip and higher tension poly and you have a beast of racket with the 100. That's why I think they used tour bite to tame it, but whats hilarious is it probably made the other rackets that are more control feel like sh*t because the string tension.

@RobertGarcia-s5z7 ай бұрын
I have the 98 pure drive and I'm ditching it also. He probably choose the Pure drive 100 because it's a much more forgiving racket for comfort and the serves a even bigger then the vs. what I struggle with and this atp pro doesn't is controlling that pure drive 100. The 98 is just a tab tamed and a flatter shot. For him to choose it, speaks poorly on how bad the PD 98 is and how refined the pd100 is comparably
