Speaking of Houston players not playing together much in previous seasons. It's funny.. Happy and Shu have played together now on THREE different teams. The Charge at their beginning, the Gladiators briefly, and now Outlaws. So they for sure like playing together probably and will have some good comms and synergy.

I mean, Houston gave Merit to Mayhem just so that can have Happy, because Shu wanted to play with him, so I'd say they get along well, and that's great for the team environment.

Before I even watch, just want to say.. Boston has the biggest sliding scale possible. And their recent controversies during scrims tells me they could be as low as like 12, and as high as top 3 if everything works out.. Like I will be very interested to see where you rank them.. as it's so incredibly difficult with that team in particular with what's come out

@@gujonteitur4853 well if everything goes RIGHT, like everything for them. At worst, they completely implode and the team partially dismantles itself before season end and they start picking up heavy losses from teams they should beat.. That's where they could end 11th, 12th overall in standings

Both Striker and Decay have created problems in different teams. So that could be where the problem lies.

the top end of the west are all still very close and I think we're going to get plenty of map 5 bangers between them all this year. Shock reign outlaws aren't invincible and I think we'll see plenty of teams punch high.

I agree with most of it except for the Washington, London, Charge part. I think Wash will be way better than London due to Benbest hero pool which is the main difference between those teams. And I think Charge won’t be above those 2 teams, every year everyone hypes them and in the end they do nothing, it’s been 3 seasons. But honestly I think everything is pretty unbiased and as you said that middle pack could change any time due to how teams can perform better or worse than expectations

people are overhyping the shock so much. Yes they have potential to win it all, but like they are just so young. I feel like they will suffer from the same issues as last year where a lack of experience will hurt them in the big matches.

Nice rankings as usual. I would strongly disagree with the low Toronto rating, and I feel like they make 5th. Mayhem also are too low, as I am not a Dallas believer and think they should be much lower. Also, I do not think the shock will be the best, simply because max does not seem to have the same confidence as coluge and heesang seems to be starting off pretty shy.

I'm a bit biased since I've embraced them as probably my favourite team (along with Spark), but I really think they are better than people think. Jimmy was a huge mid-season acquisition that seemed to give them quite respectable results, and if he does well this season it gives Choisehwan more room to thrive. Underrated dps line, and dps will probably be the most influential part of a team's composition. Farway is underrated too, he's a solid player, as is Xerneas. The biggest question mark imo is whether the Piggy solo tank will be flexible enough.

Call me crazy but idk if Edison is gonna stay at his playoff form. Edison is a very good player imo but I think ppl calling him elite, which is quite often from what I’ve seen, comes from recency bias, I think his sojourn was elite in the playoffs and the second half of stage 4 but other than that he was mostly good for the rest of the season

I'm a shock guy but right now I'd probably take Houston over SF they are just crazy stacked with elite talent title winning leadership and once they get really comfortable they be hard to stop, borderline impossible yeah proper will be the best dps player but shocks tanks looked shakey and having lost Viol3t.....

I know SF Shock will have really good season and if you count the PRO-AM as something will see the rest of the season for Shock is just out of place bc they literally play at 3 am with 200ping and provide a good performance. Now with the same conditions i know they will dominate for sure

I don’t either. Not to mention that Profit and Void are apparently not going to try as hard as usual. There’s also the issue at support. Krillin main support will drag this team down, and even with Leesoomin alongside him, it’s still worse than fixa and skewed. MN3 and Zest will outclass Profit and Prophet. If anything swap the two Seoul teams, and then swap infernal with Boston, because no doubt will they implode this season

@@niall1257 I know. I also think that people are overestimating the likes of Dallas and even Hangzhou. Even though Spark has a really good dps line, how well do they play in off tank metas since twenty had come back from retirement. And also Lengsa is just a meh main support in my eyes. As for Dallas, we don't know how well they do in a main tank meta now that Fearless isn't there. I also don't trust Edison to maintain the form he had in the 2022 playoffs, which was only Sojourn, I don't trust him to be as good on the other hitscans. Sp9rkle I also think has dropped off in some regards. As for their supports, sure Bliss might have been a good prospect since he's from O2 Blast, but MCD is the definition of mid flex supports. He didn't even look that great when he played for Spark before the controversy that got him released. In my opinion all 3 teams should be closer in the rankings, as Infernal I feel have a better dps line than fuel, and is comparable to Sparks. Tank I think still goes to spark because they have coverage at least for all tanks, then Fuel because Hanbin is that guy and then Infernal, but I think Infernal have the better support line of the 3 because of how good Skewed is, and the fact that the Fuels backline is so much weaker, and Spark's has a meh player like Lengsa there

How come everyone calls Mayhem's Pro-Am run a "mickey mouse run"? Scrim bucks said they were doing great before the season, they dominated their way through the bracket, won convincingly, and people still say this. I honestly don't understand where this sentiment comes from especially with how they are looking.

Their roster is not as proven as others. Also they could just be on a honeymoon phase right now and pro-am was a very small sample size that did not matter nearly as much as the regular season will. What happens when the meta shakes up? No one denies that they are good but it's hard to put them over other more proven teams. Playoff contenders for sure

Hey ATP I wish you good luck in your continued coverage for the overwatch League. Unfortunately this might be the last video I watch of yours after following you since Season 1 of the Overwatch League. After years of supporting OWL it's finally gotten to the point that I'm no longer interested in rooting for any teams even the Seoul Dynasty who I followed since the Lunatic Hai days. It feels like with the loss of Chendou and the fact that it feels like this is the last season in regards to continued low viewership and less than ideal casters and entertainment, I'm now moving on from OWL and watching other Esports like IDV and such. Best of luck with your continued coverage as you have and continue to do the best coverage of OWL.
