Some considerations: - Emiel was tried out, but 7 mana blink without dockside is questionable - Aluren and chain of smog wincons are bad. Don't. - Main step ad naus doesn't really let you win, so you're forced to endstep it. The cmc is also somewhat high for it (too many 4 cmc) - Arbor elf isn't always online and makes some mulligans awkward. Bloom tender is only online after atraxa - Avacyn pilgrim and elves of deep shadow can be cut due to the printing of bowmasters, but they're still playable - City of traitors is good if you're heavy on the rock plan - Guardianship has the same problems of bloom tender, 7 mana is too much for it - A turbo plan is pure sadness without red, midrange/grindy is where we excel at - Mana drain is debatable, ramping 2-3 mana on average is nice but having UU online isn't that easy - Misstep better than FOW? No. But it's still pretty high up - Arbiter helps with ramping, but i think it's too expensive for what it does - Lotho IS the best card in the deck. Period. Treasures are very valuable to slam an early atraxa. It singlehandedly made finale of devastation, wordly tutor and battle for ikoria viable. You want to turbo it as fast as you can. It's only downside is that having orzhov on turn 2 isn't always feasible, but it should be a priority - Notion thief is run with windfall mostly - Ouphe isn't that good here - bowmasters is just good - faerie mastermind is somewhat high variance, it may be a meta call - same for mnemonic betrayal - gaea's cradle is bad here

I thought the stax graph was interesting; while the amount of stax didn't directly show a trend, I did notice that there was a lot more variety in the higher win rates; decks often either had a lot of stax or very little. Seems to imply to me that a big part of this deck's success is being more direct with your deck building. With 4 colors you have flexibility, but if your game plan isn't focused enough, you won't have success

Great video! Atraxa has been my primary deck since she came out and i definitely feel vindicated with some of my deck building decisions (GAAIV) 😂

The statistics on GAAIV is interesting. Even though it's a small sample size, I think the increase in winrate is significant enough to be of interest. In cases like these, I think it would be useful to analyze what the lowest, highest and medium winrates are among those 5 decks, maybe in a graph like you do for the card categories. Then you can tell if it's caused by, for example, a tournament-winning decklist propping up the winrate among 4 other decklists that show winrates lower than the average, which would then dispel if it is an outlier or not.

I've been on GAAIV for a bit and in my testing has been an absolute house. Both his tax and cost reduction are useful since dropping GAAIV usually means Atraxa comes down the following turn.

Love your videos and focus on gameplay education with unique perspectives! Interesting to see the statical breakdown of an up an coming contender to the format. Ps. Grand Arbiter and Emiel seem like great includes Pss. Fav counterspells ranked: 1) Misstep 2) Trap 3) FOW

What % of tournament games end in a draw? We can figure out the average win rate if we know this. If 10% of tournament games are draws, then the standard win rate would be 22.5% (instead of being closer to 25% if all games were played to completion). 1.00 - 0.10 Draws = 0.90 Games ending with a victory 0.90 ÷ 4 Players = 0.225 Even win rate for 4 players Atraxa has a 22.47% win rate. That is a fair performance if 10% of games end in draws. But if the draw rate is higher, then Atraxa would be performing better than average (and vice-versa if less than 10% of games ended without a winner).

different commanders have different draw rate. some decks don't go to draw that often. Draw is a loss so it should be counted in on the winrate. But I can start to count the draw - win - loss individualy.

I would say instead of nailing down which singular counterspell is the best, just pick a top three or holy trinity (mine would be Misstep, Guardianship, and Force of Will). EDIT: I hate swan song b/c I play Najeela :P

Suggestion for cards that have very high include rate (or just as a note on everything), given any card with a high include rate will tend to the average it might be worth giving a win rate on the pie chart for both the played and didn't play section. While the smaller section of the pie will always be more impacted by luck/skill having both states could be useful

It would be interesting to know if there are cards featured here that show up as improving win percentage but didnt even hit the table in the games the deck won.
@cedhtv

Yes it would. But I don't have any knowledge of how the games that was played played out. Or what they played against.

Blind Obedience seems to have a pretty good win rate; how many decks were running it?
@cedhtv
@cedhtv Жыл бұрын
10% played it. So 10 decks had it. But yes it did get a 30,71% winrate from it. I guess it is an enchantment to increas atraxa hits but also I think blind obedience is a good stax card ATM.

What is the average draw rate of all decks?
@cedhtv

I don't know that. Didn't calculat it. I can start to try and calculat it.

@@cedhtv that would be helpful as you could calculate the actual average win rate a deck around which a deck should be as draws are not counted as a win if i am not mistaken thereby lowering the average win rate below the 25% mark a normal 4 man pod would have if you always have one player winning which isn’t the case. Hope you understand it, I don’t know how to make ik short.

Why do you think Eldritch Evolution and no Neoform?
@cedhtv
@cedhtv Жыл бұрын
Neoform: 15.83% Is the Neoform winrate. Good question. I actually don't know. Mostly I see neoform become a dockside or thassas. So I guess the targets are limited? Eldrich offers more?

With a small selection of two drop creatures but almost no three drop creatures, Eldritch Evolution allows you to search up Displacer Kitten and start comboing off.

I like these videos but I think cards that are negative impact on games is more useful to know what people shouldn't play or maybe shouldn't be played with X card. Statistics on all colors would be interesting. I understand that it is difficult but would be interesting to know what might be the "auto includes".

@@cedhtv That would be interesting but I was thinking like on the whole what people play if they play white or a combination of colors. These are the cards if you are doing X that the community has come to the conclusion that if you are okaying X color you should play this.
