ATRI - My Dear Moments - tells the touching story of a young man who has lost everything and a robot girl left behind by his deceased grandmother, and the precious time spent between the two of them.
In this video, I will be discussing what makes ATRI - My Dear Moments - (‪@frontwing_1999‬) special and worthy of your time- while also staying away from spoilers so you can best experience the story knowing as little as possible beyond the basic premise and characters. I hope you enjoy this in-depth review of one of the most beautiful and tightly-written visual novels (or stories in general) I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

Atris been one of my favorite VNs since it came out despite it being easily the shortest VN Ive read and got attached to. This is one of the most stylish reviews Ive seen on youtube tho, Im gonna have to check out the rest of your videos!

Glad you liked the review! And I absolutely agree- ATRI is a beautifully written story that’s just as memorable as some stories gnat I’ve read that are twice as long as it. Can’t wait for the anime!

I tried Atri once a few years ago and dropped it, I picked it back up in november last year and completed it and oh boy I should not have dropped it the stroy is just so amazing along with the great soundtrack that Fuminori Matsumoto composed, I'm really hoping that the anime does not dissapoint and last of all really nice video analysis, makes me appreciate the story even more.

great review, you're so underrated wtf... overall, I can see why you rated it a 9 as I rated it a 9.5~ myself... Honestly, the only thing holding it back (imo) is it being pretty short. If the vn went more in depth with some of the supporting characters and built upon them more, then I could honestly see myself rating this a 10. I saw a bunch of people complain about the true ending and how the normal ending should've just been where the vn actually ends, which I can see why some people would prefer that. However, I do see it being pretty realistic as to what would probably happen in real life with real human emotions. (as you said the vn is very "natural") All in all, im really excited for the anime adaption this Summer! (I really hope it does the vn justice)

Yeah- I can see how the normal ending might be preferable to some people, but I don't know...there's something so genuinely beautiful and heartwarming about the true ending that i can't help but love. Here's hoping the anime adaption does it justice!

I ended up getting the bad ending on my first play without realizing how much the small amount of choices mattered. For those wondering about the brief mention of different endings, do make sure to utilize those save slots!

I did the bad/alternate ending after the "main" one and it was so jarring after the touching and beautiful end to the story I had just witnessed haha. But it got me to the true ending so...worth it!

Love the content, nice to see more about Visual novels, keep it up. Anyway, about Atri, I found it insignificant. As I played it, I did find it enjoyable at times but some of it, I found quite dull. Finding boring parts in a story isn't rare and is something you can find in every work, even in your favorite but in Atri, because of Atri's length, it felt heavier. Visual novels are my favorite type of medium, they impact me the most. And that is what I expected from Atri as well, to impact me and stay with me. My favorites are works that I look back into and still feel what I felt whole reading it, works that I can't forget, that I want to read again, that changed me, changed my perspective, impacted me and etc... But unfortunately, Atri failed those aspects. Now that I look back at Atri, I find it irrelevant. As I said before, while playing it, I did find it enjoyable at times but that is it. Beside that, I can't feel any emotion towards it, not towards any of the characters and not for the story itself. The "impactful" moments weren't impactful. The "emotional" moments weren't emotional to me. I look back to it and find nothing outstanding in it A work that is forgotten to me. Insignificant. Just another work. I don't like "hating" on works, I always appreciate the author and I think every work has its good sides and is different for everyone. Thus, someone else might find it magnificent. But I didn't. I don't like to rank works but if I were to rank Atri, it'd be 5/10. Just another work, nothing significant.

Thank you for the comment! Glad you're enjoying my visual novel reviews! That's a shame that you didn't enjoy ATRI as much as you thought it would. The worse thing a story can be (to me at least) is dull/irrelevant, so I can understand not looking back on the vn super fondly if that's how you felt about it. And I don't think you were hating on ATRI! You were just giving your personal opinion, experience, and score of it. Hating it would be doing something like going out of your way to call the writer unskilled or question the taste of anyone who enjoyed it. I think discussing (and ranking like I do in these videos) is important in media because 1) it's fun and 2) it gives the writer/team behind the work chances to impove in the future (or if it's something that's already good, see how people appreciate their work). What are your some of your favorite visual novels? Just curious!

@@NoahsArchive357 Thank you, and I also think that reviews help people deciding if the work fits for them, I personally like seeing reviews before starting a work, it helps me decide whether I want to read it or if it isn't what I'm looking for now, so yes, I like seeing all kind of reviews, the good and bad ones. Love what you are doing. I love almost all the Visual Novels I've read but if I were to pick favorites, it'd be Subarashiki Hibi, Soukou Akki Muramasa, Utawarerumono, Clannad, Dies Irae, I also love Chaos series and Steins gate which I'm currently reading after watching the anime long ago. The list can go on but these are some of my favorites. Thanks for asking. I'd like to know what your favorite Visual novels are as well if you don't mind!

@@junseiegao6481 Very good chocies! While I haven't read all the ones you listed as your favorite, I have read Clannad and Steins;Gate- and I agree that they are some top tier vns. So I actually have a video going over my 5 favorite visual novels, but it's a bit outdated so to list a combination of the ones from that video and some newer favoites: Umineko When They Cry, ATRI - My Dear Moments - , Clannad, Little Busters!, Steins; Gate, Robotics; Notes, the fault milestone series, Fatal Twelve, True Remembrance, and Please Be Happy. That list is in no particular order aside from Umineko being #1 I'd say- they're all great just for very different reasons.

@@NoahsArchive357 Thank you. Great choices hahaha, I thought I have written Umineko, I probably did and deleted it when I rewrote that comment. While I haven't read some of the works you mentioned, Umineko is one of my absolute favorites, probably top 3, and I also really like Higurashi as well so I can definitely see that. I wrote it first but didn't notice I deleted it hahaha. Love it a lot, great choices. Besides Atri, I like your choices and those I don't know of, I'll make sure to look up. Thank you!
