Man, your comments got me thinking. I just saw a really nice tribute to Russell Tyrone Jones aka Ol' Dirty Bastard, online, yesterday. It was his birthday (11/15/68). I remember Q-Tip stopping a Tribe show I was at. It may have been the first Rock the Bells tour, at the Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, CA. He had to let us all know that ODB has just passed away. That was in 2004. He was hurt and we all felt it. I know it was hard to say but I think he was like "I owe it to these fans, these lovers of hip hop, to let them know what had just happened." I know the Tribe fans felt it really, really hard in 2016 with Phife (Malik Izaak Taylor) passing away. Phife was solid. He came through with a flow all his own and it complimented his partner so well. I am a grown man, who can say that I've loved A Tribe Called Quest's music for over half of my life. I'm glad they have put one more (we'll see what happens) album out. Q-Tip is one of the most talented artists that I follow and look forward to hearing more of, forever. I have not heard the whole album yet. I'm surprised that the first single is a hard hitting, modern, social commentary, rather than a club joint. I'm hoping that this might spur the return of the conscious MC's. I want to hear songs that inspire, motivate and bring out the best in artists (rappers and producers). Peace rhymes and life y'all.

I love ATCQ I still have all their Tapes as well as CD's too. The more you listen to the new album the more it will grow on you. Out of Five I give it a Four and it's very hard to make an album better then their first three. Those albums changed Hip Hop and "The Low End Theory" would be my favourite. Regardless I'm just grateful we got a new album and I think it's dope all four members were together in the Studio making Music together like they used to. Hopefully this will motivate Outkast to give us one more album also. Can you imagine if Q Tip got Big Boi on "Kids" with Andre 3000 Wow!!!!!. Much respect to all the real ATCQ Fans around the World. Signing off from the T Dot (Toronto, Canada). Peace

Tribe just gave the world an amazing gift of music! I was in high school when '' El Sugudo dropped. Was living in Jersey city area and going to a vo tech school in North Bergen. Hip Hop was just getting recognized fully then. There was so much good music happening back then. There were standout artists in each genre true to thier craft and roots. Making music not just to make money, But to make music for the love of music and to make lasting music for the history books. Tribes music just doesn't take samples of earlier music, With those samples are the music integrity that went with them by the original artist, Blended with love and wisdom by Tribe. To match perfectly with their spit out of the well thought out mind and hearts of thier MC's.. '' WE THE PEOPLE'' Will def reopen millions of hearts and minds, Get people thinking and bringing back the positive vibe of real HIP HOP, So many suffering souls out there searching for answers on dead end streets. Staring into their cell phones instead of making the positive changes needed to move everybody forward to evolve fully. It would be great to hack into everyones phone and have this album play continuously for 24 hours. No other videos. Millions of lives would get changed , Attitudes and brainwashing deleted. Q -Tip And Phife and their vision of changing the world would be on a mass world wide level. Let's not forget to dig deep into the past and listen to Tribes past albums. Hip Hop has a new Album of the year !2017 will be the year of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST.

Wait until you hear this album. DEAR LORD it's Good. It starts off with "The Space Program"...and if only I could describe the sound of the beat, how crystal clear it sounds that it stimulates your ear-drums. Every track is special in their own ways. It is honestly a Revolutionary album. "Time to go Left and not Right...Time to get it together forever...Time to get it together for Brothers...Time to get it together for Sisters... for Mothers and Fathers and dead N*ggas. For Non-Conformists, One-Hitter Quiters. For Tyson types and Che figures. Come on Let's Make It. Gotta make it, to make it, to make it, to make something happen (to Make Something Happen), to make something happen, (to Make Something Happen), to make something happen" -Phife Dawg / Q-Tip (The Space Program).

Chano For Mayor I mean, are you denying that there is garbage out there marketed as hip hop? Or do you believe ANYthing can be called hip hop? Define hip hop for me

I was listening to NIN when Tribe was huge, so I kind of missed the boat on it, but this immediately caught me Saturday night. The background sounds like what would happen if Trent got into hip hop with that bass line. Love it. Waking up.

Jaimelyn Gray Omg, that didn't even occur to me, but you are right!!!

As someone who would put nin and tribe in my top ten favorite artists, you should probably check out saul williams- his album "the inevitable rise and liberation of niggy tardust" was entirely produced by trent, and has a very dystopian bleak sound throughout.

Ooof. "Amerikkka." I see what you did there. PS. I can't. Stop. Listening. I'm pretty sure 100,000 views of those are mine.

Why is this for "hip-hop heads only?" I'm not even close to what one would consider a hip-hop head, but this song is a kick in the gut and the Universe needs more of it. Hip-hop heads may be familiar, but non-hip-hop heads need to find it, listen, and digest.

Well, all one really has to do is just listen to the lyrics, right?
