The broadcast folks have lost it, I should not need internet òr a monthly fee to watch Ota TV, we already have Netflix for fees and encryption 😂😂

its far easier and cheaper to bring a strong signal into a gateway than to distribute it to every TV in the house via RG6. Support for gateway distribution is a must.

So we need to give more of our personal information to Google in order to use advanced services on ATSC 3.0?

I have to laugh at this. I was at what was billed as Google's last training session for Widevine maintainers, as my institution had an IPTV system based on the system. It was dead, but we were free to continue to use our installation as long as we could keep it running. It seems like Widevine must have been resurrected for the express purpose of being shoehorned into ATSC 3.0 . So much for free to air TV. In the Boston area market, the only station maintaining a clear ATSC 3.0 signal is WGBH. Everyone else has scrambled their signal making my tuner largely useless for ATSC 3.0 reception. Now we're back to the closed system that coax CATV became. Will the next thing to come down the pike be to force home OTA TV viewers to pay to watch broadcast TV?

All of us gamers have been having to put up with that crap for years ever since 1979 when Microsoft released Microsoft Adventure.

There's a great way to fix this.. Don't buy an Apple device by an Android one instead Apple's overpriced anyways and two lockdown

ATSC 3 is a flop. DRM killed it before it could be a thing

Which is why the ATSC 3.0 broadcast service will never be available where I live (Colorado Springs-Pueblo, CO)
