@@zap7737 right the sole act of him doing that is enough to poison the well. When you get these contracts shown you are not supposed to talk with ANYBODY about their contents. And you are not even supposed to talk with others that you are getting a contract. You get even warned in the mail or DM about that before they send that stuff. Atsu must know this as he should have signed tons of contracts and NDA's himself. So I can absolutely not imagine that he is clueless about such things when he stepped to Hoyoverse. Just by that interaction if Atsu talked to the wrong guy, Hoyoverse would end up treating Braxophone as someone to NOT be trusted.. And it doesn't need a single additional word from Atsu. He just needs to play the bumbling idiot. Like "Ohhh sawwwwy I didn't know this would get you into trouble. I just was curious" On stream he actually said as a reason that he was intrigued. For some reason I don't know when Mtashed wanted to hone in on that, Asmongold made quickly a cut to that conversation. But I think they got him there. But I still wish they interrogated him more on that action. And asked him that he should be aware that this behavior is problematic and he should know better since he signed that stuff himself. Plus as a SA survivor, if I was in the victims shoes i would have absolutely hated Atsu for at the least not publicly ostricizing that person so no one should go through that experience again. It's so wild that he wants to keep it soo under wraps. That's actual SA accommodation behaviour.
@cortesyes Жыл бұрын
As per atsu's last tweet, that situation is something only the victims themselves can certainly know about how things went, since it seemed like they were talking about two different scenarios. None of us can judge a situation of which we weren't part of or don't have strong proof on. Victims react in different ways tot their experiences, if they're not ready to come out with it, no one has the right to do it in their stead unless they let them, since exposing the predator often exposes their victims. This is something brax also mentioned in his document, not wanting to give any names unless the victims were ready to share the experience. And surely this matter is not related to atsu alone, the possibilities that his other friends were unaware of such a fact about another of his friends are very scarce, so they all share a responsibility at the very least

@@courtneyblakewood no absolutely not. I'm advocating to publicly ostricize the dude who did it. It doesn't even have to mention the SA if the victim feels so. That in no way jeopardizes the bodily autonomy of the victim. It informs people about who did it and who to stay away from. SA is very rarely if ever a one off incident. Anything else is a coverup. Plus do you want me to believe that the victim is happy that the predator is walking the streets? There must be some level of peer pressure too to cover up. I know it's speculation but this whole situation stinks like a big dookie.

@@Ingydar_ What do you think happens after he publicly ostracizes that person? How on Earth would someone publicly ostracize another without mentioning the thing they were being ostracized for? Do you think that it's at all a reasonable possibility that the victim's name just never comes up? Defamation suits are a thing. You can't really just blast someone like that without some kind of evidence to back you up, and you can't report it as a crime without bringing up the victim's name either. And yeah, I do want you to believe that it is the victim's sincere wish to not have their experience dragged up. Even if their name somehow didn't come out, watching a public spectacle be made of their own experience can be awful for victims. It's actually a super common sentiment amongst survivors. It makes total sense for Brax to reach out to staff if he's being Blacklisted from events run by the company, and if its tied to another creator, trying to get into contact with that creator through the company makes sense as well. I think if the company policies weren't effecting him, then its a very awkward and strange route to take, but if Hoyo is literally Blacklisting him from their events, it makes sense for him to reach out through them. Along those same lines, I'm willing to believe BOTH of their takes on how many people in the company they talked to. Its highly possible Brax asked a single person, and that single person enlisted other people in the company to talk to Atsu because they personally couldn't solve the situation. Atsu complaining about Brax lying about how many people he asked just seems petty and ignorant to how companies work when dealing with PR. Edit: Also you skipped a paragraph @24:10 Not anything crazy important, the context basically gets covered in the next one, but missed out on him putting words in Saki's mouth, which is very ironic. Brax not coming out on who it is feels very fair. He's saying that he's heard from multiple sources there was an issue, and the fact that it *SEEMS* to be pushed under the rug by Atsu and whoever else was involved comes across as very sketchy as a way for the culprit to get away, but as someone not there, he probably *SHOULDN'T* be the whistleblower on who it is. Also, Tectone has come out and said that he was getting told things by multiple people, and saying it was just one, in this case Brax, is just wrong.

Knowing Brax has information that Atsu is trying to cover up and the fact that Brax was so eager to out someone else's misconduct (Genshin VA) as a conversation starter could have scared Atsu into thinking he would out his friend's behavior and thought "I have to get rid of this guy" before it goes any farther, and it snowballed from there... Yeah, it's a stretch lol. It's also the only logical reason why Atsu felt so strongly about removing Brax from the community without even knowing the guy.

Based off what I've seen now from both parts, it seems that in Brax's failed a vibe check with Atsu during their first meeting. Atsu claims he didn't know Brax but Brax went to talk with Atsu like a familiar CC which may have been offputting to Atsu. With that negative impression, Atsu sees Brax's tweets on growth and being an ambitious creator as something negative itself which reinforced the bad first impression. Brax then begins conv with that weird VA stuff during their next meeting which even Brax admits was a mistake. Atsu then didn't know that Dish invited Brax to take the photo which put Atsu in a bad mood and when Brax uploaded the photo with the Vtuber, that caused even more problems probably for Atsu because he seems to be the leader in the group. All of this compounds to some major hate for Brax which led to him being him being blacklisted from events and anything Brax tried to do to figure out what went wrong is seen as being overly obsessed. It just seems like there was improper communication at every event which lead to a point where no communication can resolve the issue unless it's with something like this. Atsu def seemed to have overreacted to Brax's actions but we don't know how seriously some of these things mean to Atsu. Atsu def put up walls that made it really hard for Brax to get answers which required him to skirt around other people and hearsay.

...to be clear, the 'speculation' he was doing was in regards to why atsu wasn't talking about it, and the direction he went with his speculation was to imply atsu might be covering up a sexual assault in order to protect his own image. atsu didn't provide any details about the victims' name or any other personal identifying info. it's inappropriate to incriminate the guy for not pushing a victim of sexual assault to out herself, and to be clear, there's just no way that he (atsu) could have done anything about it without pushing the victim into a situation she explicitly asked not to be put in.
@GummyDinosaursify Жыл бұрын
@@BEARCRAB We don't know anything other then he is 100% aware of what happened and has not said anything. He doesn't say that he blacklisted/warned others about this specific creator. Instead he says Brax should have outed him. Instead of, you know, the person who has first hand knowledge of the situation. He could have easily called out this other creator without specifically talking about the victim at any point but has not done so. He also managed to call out Saki, someone who did not want to be involved and who had already moved past what had happened with the photo. So 'protecting the victim' seems a bit murky when he namedrops, who he sees in his eyes is a victim
@BEARCRAB Жыл бұрын
@@GummyDinosaursifyThe reason he said that to Brax was to point out the hypocrisy of Brax's insinuation that Atsu wasn't speaking out about it in order to protect himself. Basically, he meant this: "Of course there are valid reasons to not speak up about someone else's sexual assault. It isn't my place to do so. You, yourself, agree with this, otherwise you would name them." I don't know if the all caps made what Atsu was saying unclear or what, but it was a rhetorical tool to point out the ridiculousness of the claim. He doesn't actually want Brax to speak up about this, which should be obvious if you reread both statements. Brax himself opened up his part by saying that it's (generally) not good to push victims to speak up before they're ready, so he would have to agree with that claim. Atsu could only have first-hand knowledge if he witnessed the sexual assault. He says he didn't, and there's no way to prove otherwise unless someone wants to speak up to the contrary. According to him, it didn't happen to his party. And... if you think about the process of calling out someone for sexual assault, there's just really no way to do that without getting the victim involved. Like, you're accusing someone of a crime. And there are legal repercussions for doing that halfcocked.
@ColoradoMntn1222 Жыл бұрын
IMO, the evidence that makes Atsu undoubtedly guilty is that he conveyed to his friends and acquaintances that he refused to share a space with Braxophone. He said so himself there and that's exactly the problem...that he made it clear to others that he would be angry and not accept sharing space. That if they wanted to stay on good terms with him, they HAD to exclude Brax. That's abhorrent. He laid claim to all spaces he touched and decided he could exclude another person in those public spaces and event spaces and he still sees absolutely no problem with that. But guess who is even more guilty than Atsu, IMO? Due to having a professional standard? Hoyoverse. Their employee who is friends with Atsu and lets these things happen is a slimebag. It should be a given that if a creator is collecting money from Hoyoverse, they should not cut off access to prosperous business connections with other content creators based on personal issues. Brax makes amazing guides and Hoyoverse would benefit more if he was part of their events and circles. Atsu and his employee friend cut Brax off despite it not only being unethical, but also harmful to the company. If he does this with more than just Brax, and it's quite possible that he does, then he is harming the content creation scene for Genshin Impact as a whole and it could be a huge amount. I hope Hoyoverse investigates this. It's a total mess and reflects very badly on their company and their management of their PR.

I hate how Atsu minimizes his influence over the genshin community. It's like the popular kids in school not wanting to be friends with someone just because of a first impression and then spreading rumors about the person so no one ends up being friends with them. They don't even have to have malicious intent, it's just the influence they have over other people. I will never respect that kind of behaviour. Brax did have a rough approach when it comes to the ice breaking topic, but that's not a reason to antagonize him for the rest of his life. How tf was he blacklisted from hv? It's funny how Atsu never tackled that.

the thing about the "this cc did "bad things" to another female cc" accusation is, that brax heard the rumors, and put it there as an example of why he believes atsu doesn't trust him. And yeah, you can say those are just rumors and hearsay. But atsu, comes right up and, not only CONFIRMS IT HAPPENED (making it NOT RUMORS anymore) but also exposes it was SA explicitly. And then doubles down on not letting anyone say anything because "the victim has to come themselves because its a sensitive issue" which yeah i agree, but i don't see anyone anywhere condemning said CC who committed the assault. And, from what i can suppose, this person is probably walking around scot-free attending events like nothing happened, while brax who only had 3 awkward/uncomfortable conversations with atsu, gets BLACKLISTED from the community and official events.

People need to realize the world is not idealized and simple. People have nuanced and complex feelings/intentions. Someone can see you as a potential friend AND also recognize the positive business/social implications of that friendship. It doesn't lessen the desire for the friendship, purity only matters if you're a chemist. You can fall in love with a rich person and still recognize that "damn they're rich, that's awesome too." Same way you can be friends with someone and be like "Yeah, but he's kind of an asshole too." Regarding Brax ignoring other creators and focusing only on Atsu, that's a non-argument. A non-issue, a clear deflection. Because, Brax wanted to be YOUR friend. At any given moment, there's tons of people who would like to be our friend, date us, have sex with us, etc but we decide and choose where we focus our attention right? Me wanting to be friends with you and putting energy into that has no bearing on my feelings about other people in that kind of way. I think you're cool, I think you're interesting, you got my attention and I wanna be your friend.

I feel the fact that Atsu admitted that he contacted hoyoverse about the contract after Brax reached out to him for advice is pretty damming proof that he has been blocking creators he doesn't like. Brax did not get the contract and Atsi being a CC would know that breaching confidentiality could possibly scrap am entire contract. Also why would he contacted them about it at all unless to try to speak against it since he has stated how much he dislikes Brax and doesn't want to even be in the same room and if Brax got the contract he would probably be at all the events. Just my opinion though.

I agree with most your takes in this video, however i do feel like it was very interesting that atsu tell brax to reveal who the "sexual predator" was, when it seems that brax did not because he did not know if it was true or not. However, before that atsu said "a girl who was attending the party was sexually assaulted in the past by another creator (not at the party)" which sounds like atsu knows or assumes that the assault did happen, but then why not name the creator who did it if he knows that they have sexually assaulted someone? I suppose theres a chance that he just knows that the girl was sexually assaulted by another creator but doesnt know the name, but I thought it was interesting that he said that 1. A girl was sexually assaulted by another content creator 2. Does not name said creator and 3. Then proceeds to say that brax should name whoever he thinks is a sexual predator unless he's protecting them or doesnt want to be implicated as someone who let it slide.

Atsu seems like a man that has never had a real job so he "doesn't care" about the money. The content he makes is for himself and his friends, not really for making money, basically he is a "for fun" content creator. Which is fine. The problem is the disconnect that not all creators or even most content creators are like that. Brax definitely view youtube and streaming as a job and career, so when someone like Brax comes up with the very direct goal of making acquaintance for the sake of business, Atsu seems to look down on or even feel disgusted by Brax. At least his twitlonger seems to read that way.

The twitlonger atsu is referring too does NOT name or allude to atsu at all so he’s capping during that part. And he escalated the rumor brax mentioned by confirming it happened, not only that it caused problems but it was ACTUAL “SEXUAL ASSAULT” (in atsu’s words) and that is it being kept hush hush - criminal. The “too friendly” thing comes down to cultural differences, atsu is too Asian - reserved and all that - and despite his social awkwardness, brax is too western/American and trying to be what he thinks is normal - being friendly and open, just like the dapping up example. Overall atsu is slimy and corrupt even if he’s not actively or purposely trying to fuck others over, but his gatekeeping is real and prevents other’s an opportunity by using his connections to favor his friends, and that was confirmed and acknowledged by atsu on Asmond’s mega long video.

The predator VA was friends with Atsu and after brax told atsu about it, atsu stopped affiliating with him because other VAs corroborated the accusations- altho it’s all unfounded and the people involved are unnamed but it has been neither confirmed nor denied. Even if it’s a yikes topic to start a convo with, it’s a still warning that is showing that brax was trying to look out for atsu and atsu vilified him for it yet still acknowledged it and proceeded to cut ties with that VA. @HeyHeyJunpei Жыл бұрын
The most important thing in the drama is about the SA situation in which Brax hears from someone about it and then tells Atsu as the convo starter. Atsu has said in his tweet that it's up to the victim to share their truth because they may have trauma from it, he also shares on stream that the SA thing is an allegation and has not been proven as truth (only the ppl involved in the incident can even confirm this but they are not named obviously). He shares that he asked a couple other Genshin VAs if they know about the situation and they shared that they heard about it but can't say if it's actually true. If this is the case, then Atsu was in the right not sharing about it because the SA did not 100% actually happen. It would only ruin the image of the alleged person. The people around him cannot confirm nor deny so it would be wrong to just say it did happen and ruin someone's image. Instead he chose to just not talk to that person anymore to be safe.
@SundayMatinee Жыл бұрын
Atsu didn't say he stopped talking to that person because of the SA allegations. He simply said he isn't in communication with that person anymore. Could be for other reasons, or maybe just they don't have any need to communicate - "drifted apart" in a sense.
@aienjell Жыл бұрын
This is the only smoking gun I can find for why Atsu would go to these lengths against someone he hardly knew at the time. It seems like he might have panicked when Brax tried to casually out another abuser (Genshin VA) as a conversation starter/icebreaker and thought Brax would potentially tell others about the issue Atsu was trying to hide just as easily as he tried with the Genshin VA. Obviously, it's a reach but it's a possible reason for Atsu to take such unreasonable actions against Brax and it just snowballed from there. Fact is we still don't have a logical reason why Atsu doesn't like or trust Brax, but this would be a logical reason if true. If Atsu didn't want to reveal he's been covering up a SA for whatever reason he would have to manufacture some other reason why he doesn't like/trust Brax and this is why Atsu's argument is so weak. It would have been hard to fabricate something about Brax especially since he didn't really know him at the time and so he decided on this weak ass excuse of being obsessive and overbearing (which no one else can corroborate to this day). This could have started because Atsu was trying to protect that girl and instead of burying Brax he ended up digging himself straight into the Abyss.

Something similar to this happened in the Poketuber community around 4 years ago and it played out like this exactly. People just called this high school drama, eventhough many careers were destroyed in the process by manipulative people. As a viewer, personally, I don't wanna hear the: seperate art and artist bs. I don't wanna support a bad person with my time/ money. Easy as that, so I'm grateful when snakes are outed. The pokemon drama helped clean out the community by in large and made it healthier to be a part of, hope the same can be said for the Genshin Community after all this. Having said that, I think the Genshin CCs are too brittle and after 2-3 fake apologies people will just fake getting along and blow this over with. Most of these Genshin CCs don't seem to have a backbone on top of Gen Z not being able to address issues and dismissing everything as drama and now the new meta high school drama, instead of assessing the real threat. Slander can be sued irl, but since content creation is a rather new concept people just get away with alot, since the law didn't catch up yet, but a CC that's being slandered is hurt as equally as a company irl, they lose money and some reputation can't ever be repaired.

As a "logical" woman who is on the spectrum, I've really come to appreciate CCs that present logical arguments - even when I disagree with them. This video and the one you released before it are excellent examples of sound logic, deductive reasoning, and objectivity. You didn't pull punches for either creator while still arriving at the Occam's Razor opinion. So, all in all, a job well done, especially considering the scope of the situation. However, I really wish you would elaborate on your aside regarding Andrew Tate. You're saying you agree with his take on ambition? His take on masculinity? His views of women? I'm the kind of person that, even when I loathe another human being like Tate, is willing to look deeper and acknowledge truths they share. People are nuanced as hell and it's okay to agree with something they've said even when you don't align with their ideology. For example, I subscribed to your channel even after taking issue with your aside about Tate. But I'm damn curious what you meant to say when you took the conversation in this direction. 🤔

If you're "logical" then did you try and watch a whole interview or podcast from Tate to give your own honest opinion? or you just eat up everything the dumb libs feed you? clips out of context? fake headlines and crimes? Tate is also very logical and intelligent if you ignore some of his jokes, unless you get biased and uncomfortable over some women facts you dont wish to hear.

People really speaking as if everything Andrew says is trash lmao i find them stupid. Yeah Andrew can say some really stupid sht but lets be honest many of the things he says are true and good and positive for men. People really take only the bad things but not the good things its funny.

Athu represents those people who are inhumane pevilaged people who got attention and friends too much around childhood so I feel he feels so superior of himself

Something to add about the bit, where Brax mentions the situation, where two people were at the same party and one was victim to sexual assault by the other in the past. Brax said that he did not know enough to fully say that was a thing, although saying that he had heard about it from two people that had been at that party. THE THING IS: Atsu himself corroborated that story FOR Brax in that statement. He outright admitted that it happened, confirming that he had been trying to silence it. And what's even worse? He accuses Brax, who admitted he wasn't sure, of weaponising it for his own gain WHILE DOING THE EXACT THING HIMSELF AFTER HAVING SAID THAT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT OCCURRED. I might be reaching as I do not know Brax nor Atsu much to have any prior knowledge or intuition. But with everything said by both parties and others, I do believe that Atsu is likely a manipulative conniver. Someone in the group asks to do a 'housemates' photo-shoot? Why is he at the front and center of each photo-shoot? And the contract thing is something that was common knowledge that Hoyo offered an exclusivity deal, where content creators could not stream other games nor take on other sponsors.

Atsu's response to Brax wasn't the serve Atsu thought it would be. Which he realized and took down the tweet. If anything, it only served to support Brax's claims. Bottom line, Atsu was well within his rights to not be friends with Brax. However, as Genshin CCs, they were undeniably colleagues. Atsu crossed the line when he besmirched Brax's character and prevented him from achieving certain business opportunities. Unconscionable

Honestly the only people that talked about this that tried to be truly unbiased in this are Mtashed and Asmongold, I unfollowed Atsu, Brax, and downloaded a browser addon to block Tec. Honestly I know it's very beneficial to you to side with the Tec group. But I suggest in your private time if you haven't already, go watch Tec (his vod) react to Atsu's stream and then go listen how Tec explained the situation to Asmon (before everyone began to talk with Asmon) It was mindblowing to me. How the fuck do you trust someone like Tec that much? The constant reaching, Inventions, attempts to blow every single sentence of others out of proportions. His only way of admitting any type of wrongdoing is "I'm an asshole but". And just because someone can be friendly/nice to you personally is not proof of anything! (same for anyone who is an asshole like Atsu and Tec) wtf is this timeline I'm living in. Insanity.
