Delhi is one of my favourites cities and NCR Delhi covers a huge area. The guide is good but covers only the basics and as usual with travel guides is restricted to only 2 areas of Delhi, old & new Delhi. Many parts of Delhi are loud, crowded and chaotic but not all areas. There are plenty of quiet, green, clean and open areas. Also lots of great restaurants and markets in South Delhi. Modern Malls, markets and hubs in Gurgaon, Noida and Greater Noida. Khan Market, Greater Kailash 1&2, N&M block markets, Mehrauli, Hauz Khaz, Mehr Chand, Defence Colony, Cyber Hub Gurgaon etc are all markets with great cafes, restaurants, shops and bars that are covered here. For a first time visit l would not stay in old delhi or paharganj as you need an escape from the noise, chaos and touts of those areas. You can stay in quiet locations that are residential but still central in Delhi, Golf Links, Jorbagh, Sunder Nagar, Nizzamuddin West (area near the huyaman tomb), Lodhi Colony, Safdurjung Enclave, Defence Colony etc are all areas still close to the centre and so much better than old delhi/paharganj. You could also stay further afield in Vasant Vihar, Haus Khaz, Greater Kailash etc and these areas are accessible to all sites as all connected to the Metro.

I found the Airport great and the surrounding areas were quiet, getting out and into the outter suburbs was quite fast Karol Bagh was only a 20 minute ride or so. I would recommend booking a private tour of the City as its so vast and so much to see and do, yes go alone in parts but to see the inner mechanics of the place get a personal tour and they're cheap and they'll pick you up from the airport to your hotel. Avoid areas like Paharganj पहाड़गंज , try and visit the Hauz Khas हौज़ खास area also its a bit out of town but worth it, and keep your witts about you when going through Connaught Place कनॉट प्लेस

This video started strong and then got bogged down talking about food. How about all the great Mughal Monuments, the many different temples, India’s largest Mosque, Old Delhi and Paharganj, the giant Hanuman statue near Karol Bagh, the ancient Qutub Minar? All of the amazing places got zero mentions. This “guide” has great production value but fails on content.

you say nothing about the horrible air quality, the constant honking of horns, the garbage or the widespread poverty - yes the people are welcoming & food tremendous but these items deserve mention to give a true picture

But you forget to mention the great monuments, rich cultural history, lovely greenery around south Delhi roads and amazingly posh localities of Lutyens bungalow zone, Shanti niketan, Golf links and Vasant Vihar.

Love India... our favourite place was Varanasi, as for scammers ,we got caught out a few times with local males asking if we needed help with directions then trying to lead us to some sort shop were they would receive a kick back...never anything nasty or dangerous...we found the best bet if you need directions or info is to ask a female as they don’t seem to be in on the scams. Highly recommend getting a small group guided tour of both old Deli & Varanasi and don’t be afraid to “wing it” as we arrived with no set plans and had a ball.

Any idea how he hires people to shoot his videos in different locations? Or does he take someone with him everywhere he travels?

The same person comes with me on every trip, although we often hire production crew on the ground in each city.

This is more Delhi food guide, than Delhi travel guide! However liked it. I have never dared to try the Delhi street food though.
