I live 80 miles from the Burgh and i love it! great food and fun! and oh don't forget about the Bald Eagle population there. Check out Hays eagles and USS eagle cams. Great family of chatter's there.

What a terrible video. It has all the polish of a credit card commercial, but barely scratches the surface of what makes Pgh special. If all you did in town for a weekend was watch the Pirates lose a game, grab some Primanti's, and splurge on fig n ash then... have you really even seen the city? He tells you about the incline, but not where it is, what it is, or the view at the top. He talks more about his "criteria" for a city than any backstory on the neighborhoods, the mills, or the three rivers. And there's this inexplicable segment on American tipping right in the middle (??). What even is this video?

You described the Pittsburgh I fell in love with when I moved here in 2006. I met my wife two weeks after moving here, lived in beautiful neighborhoods like Shadyside and Point Breeze, had a beautiful smart child, and enjoyed living in the city, until 2021 came along. The city has become a cesspool of government officials and residents 3:49 who seem to love criminals, we have a police force that seems to be lessening by the day, and the officers that continue to serve do nothing to enforce any kind of law, it’s very sad to see. I’m sad to say I hope to leave much sooner than later

We lived in Pittsburgh for a couple of years, and had a hard time with the poor air quality. However, after moving back to the West Coast, we regretted leaving. The real Pittsburgh people are interesting and enjoyable to engage with, but the gentrifiers that are flocking to Pittsburgh suck, just like anywhere else.

This is very familiar to many cities: the erosion of rights and explosion of control during COVID, the gradual tightening of the noose, the loss of local character, the turning of places into one big homogenized "metro" place.

In theory, it may be legal tender in England. In practice, in London they’re far too over their heads or just downright discriminatory to accept them. It’s a double standard we have to live with, but hate it!!!

I’m from Dallas. My son and I stopped in Pittsburgh two summers ago and went to a Pirate game. Great ballpark. The people in town were great. We really enjoyed our time there. I want the Pirates to get better because the great people in Pittsburgh deserve a winning baseball team, and they haven’t had one in a looooong time.

This is absolutely brilliant, what storytelling. I'm surprised why it doesn't have millions of views already. I'm glad you could trace the journey that your granny had, it's visible that this was personal for you. Also interesting to note for me the similarities you mentioned with Tunbridge wells as I travel a lot there from India for work.

I never comment on YT, but what a beautiful movie! It's easy to shoot a place as beautiful as Okinawa, but nevertheless - some amazing camera skills there! Script / narration is also extremely on point. Just an absolute pleasure to watch. You more than earned that like & subscribe!

I visited Shimla with a friend many years ago. One day, we were on our way to the Jakhu mandir and came across a young boy cycling near his house. Late October, a soft wind was blowing and then it started to drizzle. I was so jealous of this boy's serene childhood, a young soul enjoying his day in the lap of nature with no worry... I wish I had that childhood. Thank you for bringing back those much cherished memories :)

as an Edinburgh local you hit the nail on the head with most of the places even with the fleeting snapshots of where to go, just maybe not Johnnie Walker, maybe go to the bow bar or the abbey bar or any nice whisky bar but I guess the tour itself is very educational and visual and worth it, food wise I would go to other places for dinner as well

We lived on Okinawa for three years. My hubby was stationed at Kadena. We still regularly make taco rice and my rice maker I bought there is still going strong after 30 years and makes the best rice. We are going to Tokyo in March and may take a quick trip down there to remember our former home. Love love love it.

This isn't a scotch pie, this is a steak pie. They are similar, but it's fundamentally different with the filling. It's better eaten hot, you normally get them from a traditional Scottish bakery, or greasy spoon restaurant. Born in Scotland, living in Edinburgh..

I’ve only just discovered your channel, and I’m impressed that you made this video. The Bronx is usually overlooked as a tourist destination, unless the tourism is specifically geared toward hip hop fans. My only concern is your suggestion that a tip of 15% is sufficient when showing your gratitude to your servers. I will admit that like most native inhabitants of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, I’ve rarely eaten in The Bronx, but in my experience, as far back as my memory goes, which is to say the early ‘70s, 16% was the absolute minimum, because sales tax back then was 8%, so doubling the tax was a handy guideline. However, for the past few decades, anything less than 20% has been a slap in the face, suggesting that either you feel that the service you received was utterly inept (which almost never is the case in NYC) or that the diner feels that someone who waits tables and probably also does several other side gigs doesn’t deserve to be able to afford a room in a shared apartment with five other people somewhere deep in Queens or Brooklyn. Please do not tell your viewership that it’s acceptable to shortchange the salt of the earth people who are making their vacation possible.
