Love this video for so many reasons…and, one of those is the return of the Big Mac index (and the transport info). Though primarily I loved that it brought back memories of my first trip to Europe - as a 15 year old visiting from Texas, walking on the beach at Oostende eating a delicious waffle. Thanks also for including information on the violent history associated with colonialism and chocolate. We can still love chocolate - even while telling the truth about the past. Oh, and Alex - I also use my middle name, so my luggage tags always start people wondering what the “L” stands for…let the “I” be a mystery! Your videos are all wonderful. I like the ones without the standard format, just as much as the ones with the index! Well done to you and Greg.

I’m a Belgian living in Brussels and your video is on point. Thanks! 🙏🏻 The only thing I’d say is, please, tourist (or anyone), when getting fries in Belgium… never pick mustard. You have dozens of sauces to choose from, please don’t ruin your fries. 🍟 It broke my Belgian heart when I saw this 😂😂😂

I've been waiting for this video. Belgium was my first European destination; which included Bruges, Ghent, a side trip to Amsterdam, and only one day in Brussels. Glad you made it to Delerium, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Not too far from the Grand Place, you can find Cantillon Brewery which specializes in other Belgian styles of beer, like Gueuze, and there's Moeder Lambic Fontainas that I want to visit next time I'm in Brussels. Great job, Alex.

I was lucky enough, with help from the US Army, to grow up in Belgium. I have been in love with Brussels since I 8. The airport is actually named Zaventam not just Brussels. A Belgian company has actually owned "The King of Beers" for a decade. So yes this Bud is Belgian now. If you go do yourself a favor and go to the coast and have Mussels in White Wine with Frites in some local Seafood Shack. You can think me later. Belgium is like Switzerland it doesn't have to tell you it's great you will just have to find it out for yourself. Belgium is like the person you never thought you would fall in love with, but who changes your entire life forever once you do.

“After forever”? It’s been one month since the last episode!! You realise they have to travel to those places, right? Film over several days, edit, produce an episode of unbelievable quality, and then post it? I’m not even talking about all the planning they have to do before even going (and the cost of these productions). And it’s not their full time job. “After forever”, you said?

@@attachetravel you know what, I really hesitate on buying great hand luggage because each airline has different luggage size restrictions, so it makes it really difficult.
@GrantMcWilliams
@GrantMcWilliams 2 жыл бұрын
@@stephenrowe4113 Carry On is always within on inch since it's the airplane manufacturers that build the overhead bins. However, weight can vary by a couple of kg for carry on which is up to the airlines. I shoot for between 8-10 kg and have only had to check my bag once (Austrian Air) due to being over. Austrian insisted on weighing my carry on and my day bag together which pretty much spoiled the trick of temporarily putting the heaviest stuff in my day bag. The problem with the Fredrik luggage isn't so much the price (my current Victorinox has lasted me 18 years, I can spread the cost) but that it weights 3.5 kg with nothing in it. That means after I put my laptop with charger and my very small camera setup in it I have enough allowable weight left for socks. :-)

Why are Americans so obsessed by waffles? Although they are widely available in Australia, nobody eats them because they are boring.

Great video! I’m so glad that you didn’t skip over the brutality that the Belgium people and their government inflicted on the Congolese people. You showed that we can talk about the beauty of a nation and still acknowledge it’s ugliness.

Great video as always! But Brussels in reality is so dull and dodgy, having pretty high crime rates. Europe has way better city getaways.

If you visit Paris and Amsterdam prior to heading to Brussels you will find it so average. It is one of those places that to me lack identity and charm. IMO you better spend your money somewhere else.
