What effect does it have if you don't cut off the braided wires or cut of the foil? Just trying to figure out why my C-BAND link seems to be dropping packets when pinged from the NOC

Hmm, interesting. You could make one by cutting a piece out with a hacksaw.

or you could just use a vise with the push down wood.
