looks great! The material is called jigged bone, that's why it smells so bad when grinding. Great job

I was trying to remember what it was called. I got them about 8 months ago on a whim and finally decided it was time to use them. I had to air out the shop for about 5 hours to get the smell out.

Very nice touch on shaping the pins to match the contours of the scales. I will file that technique (pun intended) away for later use.

Sweet knife man! Should make a neat EDC knife.

It does look good. I prefer the look of real antler or bone vs faux. But it does look pretty darn good and I’m sure it’s better/easier/more consistent to work with than natural materials.

Hey Eric have you thought about hooking up a shop vac to your dust/shaving collector pipe "out side" then all you have to do is turn it on & it should suck up most of the dust! Just a thought!

Looks great I really appreciate your craftsmanship And the tips and simplicity with which you explain things. The wood blanks On your wall behind you did you buy those or cut them out?
@theriversexperience93834 жыл бұрын
I made all of those blanks/templates myself from drawings of knives that I sketched. The templates give me a better idea of what the knife is going to feel like in the hand and whether or not I need to make adjustments. I even made a video about templates.

I think the knife turned out great. What is the handle material ?
