I make my own spoons and put a treble hook spinner on it. Deadly in cold weather.

For numbers I get a 2” 1/2 oz. I’ve started throwing the Bigger ones too but usually for striper. My fav color to make it a black top with silver bottom and I put red on the belly. Can’t beat shattered glass either. I will keep the chrome silver but use lure finish to coat the spoon and then add silver and pink glitter finish.

Don’t complicate things. You’re mimicking bait. If it looks like bait it will work. You just have to do it correctly and in the right situation. Lures are tools and you use them for the situation not because “one works” most of them work good. You just have to apply them.

@@BassFishingDeclassified that technique is is real location specific. All the bluff walls we have on the TN river you 1/32 to 1/8 hoover rig even on 4lb test is gonna pulled right to the surface from the current. Need to be more specific for beginner fishing. Bad example from Randy, just my opinion.

I am going with the 7/8 and then on the magnum maybe 1 1/4 ? Just top of my head. Going with heavier weight for deeper depths.
