One of the best things about how this manga was written is that every important moment - the Warriors breaking Wall Maria, Zeke betraying his parents, etc. - is shown from both sides of the story, with a long time between the first time the moment is told and its retelling.

Erwin the goat and Grisha too. Eren's character is a masterpiece people are too dumb to see it. He is not the typical anime protagonist ass pull who saves everybody with friendship powers. He is a complex devil that was a regular human at one point. Isayama didn't want a happy hero ending he wanted a tragic story filled with devastation and horror. He made the ending bittersweet. I wonder how the anime will end. Will they go for a happier ending like the weebs want? I'm not sure. However, I want the plot to be rounded off nicely and everything to be explained well (better than the manga).

I think Grisha's biggest mistake is his failure at being a parent. Yes, the situation was dire. But he treated Zeke as more of a means to an end rather than an actual child. When he was born, he didn't say, "Thank Ymir for blessing me with this son", all he could think about was how his royal blood would help him fulfill his goal. Zeke didn't even seem to want to be a Titan. But he wanted his father to actually love him and spend time with him so much that he was willing to throw his life away. And even after he was trying his best, all he received was Grisha yelling and being disappointed at him. So when Tom actually seemed to care for him, it's no wonder that he bonded more with him than his parents. Udo's comment about Eldians being treated worse around the world also showcases why Zeke develops his mindset. Zeke is a hurting man who's tired of it all. A brilliant Monke.

(not spoilers) Previously I believe the 50 year plan to do a partial rumbling was the most agreed way to do it. Basically cause a ceasefire so no one could attack Paradis but this would involve Historia and her children to be eaten to preserve the bloodline. So you would think this is what Eren would do, a partial rumbling. But there are a lot of moving pieces now, they mentioned Historia is pregnant so she can't be used for this purpose, so Zeke would then have to be. At this stage of the show you can't assume Eren and Zeke will do the rumbling. Zeke wants euthanization and to end suffering. They could also do a combination of both.

I don't think so. Zeke deems human lives as meaningless, therefore worthless. Meanwhile Levi has always treasured human lives above anything. He even feels bad when he knows all the titans were actually humans(it doesn't stop him from killing them when it's necessary, but he does have feelings about that). Zeke doesn't feel any remorse. That… would be inbreeding, even if they have children with other non-Eldians, since inbreeding would be inevitable within a generation. That’s gross lol. There are two writers close to Isayama prepared to take on AoT and with money-hungry Kodansha supporting them that could backfire or be a good thing for AoT fans. It all depends on the anime ending strong and the fans keeping an interest. If they end badly people will lose interest like GoT season 8

the reason it's so hard to rank AoT episodes is because every episode is just where they need to be. every episode comes out giving us the information "JUST" we needed so you can totally feel how it feel in the story. You felt it because that's all you know back there. and that's how AoT keeps giving you "BEST" episodes. that's how AoT make you say "it's the best episode EVER." you don't get a real "best episode" in S1 or S2 and then story goes down you start getting disappointments. the Peak is yet to come. when you done the whole story and rewatch again, you'll get another "best".

That's what I like about this show: The diverse, interesting characters. The story telling execution by letting us dive to everyone's perspective is such an effective way to understand a complex character in a simple manner. There's no actual black and white here, in reality there's always a grey area. You get to see where they are coming from, their motivation behind their actions. You get to emphasize with them I the end. No hate, only understanding. ***love both of you and your genuine reactions, as always ❤

One of the most beautiful episodes of the season👑🔥🔥🔥, which is second to none in terms of enthusiasm and artistry in all its episodes. Frankly, I see Zeke as another hero in this anime, where his goal is great, and his idea will not come to anyone's mind, but it is unfair to me, as their thinking has changed from before and they became good, but the world is cruel. I cried a lot for Grisha in this episode. Isayama really never ceases to amaze us because it is a true historical anime. 😔👑😩🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭😭😭

S 2 and season 3 spoilers: I started to like Zeke after this episode, but then I re-watched the show, and saw Mike's and Erwin's death along all the scouts, and I remembered how much I hated Zeke, as everyone should, in my opinion. It's an opinion tho. But I just can't not hate him while hearing Mike scream like that. If you rewatch S2 E1, you'll probably realize the most cruel and sad death in the whole show was Mike's death. The only reason most of us forgot it is because he was more or less a side character. The way he screamed while being eaten alive... PAIN. That's how cruel this show is, which is why I love it.

Zeke hit him with that, "Oh, so you CAN speak". As this man is getting eaten alive on Zeke's orders and screaming in agony. I can feel bad about Zeke having a bad childhood and having a bad relationship with his dad. That doesn't excuse the fact that he is literally trying to forcefully sterilize an entire race of people. You can't do *nice* genocide. People are oppressing you your entire life, deny your humanity, are afraid of a specific genetic trait of yours and the response is to take that to heart and kill off your own people for them to stop the pain those same people are purposefully inflicting on you? That's too much. I can't agree with Zeke. There are other answers and forced genocide through forced sterilization is unacceptable and clearly wrong.
@jasongupo38592 жыл бұрын
@@Kaldurahm1 yes, sympathizing with Zeke doesn't mean we forget his previous actions, it just puts it into context. Regarding the nice genocide part, I agree but it is still the lesser evil compared to Eren's massacring the whole world. There are other answers yes, but what Eren realized is that they didn't have time to explore those other options.

I always thought Zeke's plan was a bit wonky. Eldians have suffered for over a hundred years and now they have to bend over backwards by ceasing to exist? How about the other way around and make the Marleyans cease to exist? And so what about the endless Titan wars? Would removing Titans make things any different? You have to remember Eldians (except for the nine) don't become Titans by choice. The ones injecting them are the bad guys.
@ardabagusm31282 жыл бұрын
Well Marleyans, and also the world, have suffered because of Eldians for about 1,800 years, haven't they?
@detectivemittons90202 жыл бұрын
I don't think Zeke is prepared to kill that many innocents... The power of the titans can only change the subjects of Ymir so there would be no way to peacefully make the Marleyans cease to exist. Zeke isn't trying to make peace--he's just trying to stop his race from being born into a cruel world. Is that his choice, should they impress their opinions on others? I mean there's another argument, but yeah... It's interesting, but yeah... Eren's old plan of 'killing everyone across the ocean' is the other choice as you pointed out and it sounds like Eren agrees that Zeke's plan is better (at least more peaceful)
@jeffreytan29482 жыл бұрын
@@ardabagusm3128 OK Imagine a world without Eldians and Titans. Will suffering all of a sudden be gone?
@jasongupo38592 жыл бұрын
@@jeffreytan2948 No, but it is the lesser evil in his eyes. Rather than to let the cycle of hate continue, Zeke took it upon himself to end it by peacefully killing off his own race. Of course, this doesn't take into consideration what the Eldians want for themselves so it is still morally wrong
@jeffreytan29482 жыл бұрын
@@detectivemittons9020 In this version of the world, Eldians/Subjects of Ymir have already been defeated. Its been that way for over a hundred years. Now who are using Titans as tools/weapons of war? I have a clue - It starts with the letter M. And again although I agree with you that Zeke plan is more peaceful, but still why should the Eldians be the ones to pay that price?

My fucking heart sank when I realized how much I hated Zeke for chastising the cavalry charge against him at the end of season 3, calling it useless and bemoaning how they always must struggle futilely. However, when you know he was calling it useless because of what he planned to do... It just hits different with context.
@TequilaToothpick2 жыл бұрын
He's still and awful person though. We now know his reasons but what he's trying to do is still disgusting.
@luciengraves92292 жыл бұрын
@@TequilaToothpick That's a moral statement you can make for yourself but not others. Zeke didn't ask to be born, and didn't ask to be a pawn in people's lives. So when he sees the people of paradise fighting, he knows that at one point they were like him, and are products of their environments. Through choice, or idiocy they will create more people who didn't ask to be born, who will be shackled with tasks from the previous generation they didn't ask for. Eren inherited his fight from his father, Mikasa had to watch her family die, and Levi was born into a hell under the earth. Though some people are happy they exist, it is just as possible that someone will curse the day they were born with all of their might. You could say that Zeke isn't giving people a choice with his actions, but Eren's manic desire for freedom is never examined in the same way. He does what he wants because it's what he thinks and no one else's opinion matters. So the two brothers aren't that different really. If that doesn't make sense, I guess my thought process is simple: no one asks to be born, it is a decision that is always made by the parents of a child through intention or merely an accident. The child is never considered, and not living has no pain, whereas the world is cruel and beautiful. So I see both sides, but one isn't evil for what they want to do. Arguably Zeke is saving future generations from the hell those already cursed to exist must suffer.
