Its been one long ride I still remember how this series started of as a horror post apocalyptic show and that guy watching ep 1 all those years ago never thought the series would end this way and the ending was the most realistic ending There was never gonna be a happy ending but in the end it's poetic Eventually eren did eradicate all Titans Although many years down the line Paradis was eventually destroyed by war again But Armin Mikasa and the people eren cared about got to live their lives in peace eventually dying of old age the ending is poetic

You were the go to channel after every episode and the reviews were super good. Its such a bittersweet ending and i have a heavy heart letting go. I wanna know so much more about the ending and whats happens afterwards in details but i also know sometimes you have to let go to keep moving forward.

I think you should make a video about all the problems people tend to find in the ending. There's a lot of good discussion potential on those. You went through a few of them during the stream. I also spotted a good one where it said that there aren't any parallels between Mikasa and Yimir. There was also no build up to this for us to appreciate these. In particular on the King/Yimir side. We have to all of a sudden accept that it was love. It's not a bad idea but it can sound iffy as well.

U know after killing eren and setting ymir free the least ymir could do is reward Mikasa by bringing her love back as a gift to let their love last longer ...from that moment it would show that faith can be truly changed it dosent have to be always violence ... I belive its beautiful if this happened...

I’d said it on the stream I’ll say it again if it wasn’t for your manga reviews since time skip arcs till the end I wouldn’t have been invested into it your narration always kept me intrigued into the manga until the final chapter dropped now one of the influential anime for me has ended , thank you Foxen for making an incredible journey for the manga reviews till 2021 🤘🏻

People are missing the point about the credits scene. Eren's sacrifice was not in vain. It ensured that his friends on Paradis lived normal lives in peace. The bombing that we saw happened way after that in the distant future. It was to signify that human conflict is perpetual and humans will always find a reason to fight each other. Eren helped get rid of the Titans but humans eventually found other ways to destroy themselves, like nukes. Which is probably what's going to happen to us soon in our world. I think we just saw the spoilers.

I won't say AoT is masterpiece but the ending is hauntingly beautiful, Eren did his best to save his friends and ended the vicious Titan cycle. However, in the credits it shows without Titan powers, humanity hunger for war continue to evolves and create somthing worse than Titans and killed themselves in the process. Which led them back to zero, back to where it all began that is the Titan tree.

I’ve read the last 3 chapters right after watching the final episode and yea those are really bad in comparison. Everything they changed in the anime improved it a ton and in the manga the pacing was horrible. Way too fast so you can’t even comprehend all the new concepts and shocking information you get to know as a reader. The anime did AOT justice.

What? There's no evidence of that. Why are people so obsessed with shipping her with Jean. She clearly was obsessed with Eren. She literally hesitated killing him at the end when he was about to slaughter the remaining 20% of the population. I wish my future girlfriend had that type of devotion. Can you say ride or die? Why would someone like that end up with Jean?

Wasn't explained in the manga either but my take is that it could simply be the very "life" or seomthing Zeke was babbling about. And from what is showed us, it is/was the origin of all titans. Why it had such particular powers? no one knows. Could have responded to some Ymir's desire when she fell down to it or something. and the final scene implies that the cycle might be starting anew given how similar tree grew out of Eren's grave.

UNPOPULAR THEORY: About Eren, Mikasa, and Jean: Eren had always wanted to be free. He had to abandon his own freedom so that the ones he cherished the most could be free and grow old. He also wanted Mikasa to be free even if he never wanted her to be with anyone else (well for atleast 10 years). Hence, he wanted her to throw away the red scarf he gave her all those years ago which became a symbol of their connection and devotion. Mikasa just wanted to be by Eren’s side and to protect him. Both of them had to sacrifice their hearts, what they stood for, and what they value. As for Mikasa and Jean ending up together with a child… A. Mikasa could have gotten pregnant in the paths just before she beheaded Eren. Time isn’t linear in the paths and everything exists at the same time. By the time Armin, Jean, and the others arrived to visit Paradis again after 3 years, Mikasa and Eren’s child would have been 2 years old by then. Mikasa would have kept her child hidden to protect their child from eccentric Yeagerist and especially the world who hated Eren. Armin and the others might have discovered this and Jean offered to marry her so he can be introduced as the child’s father and they could live freely. Their relationship might have been platonic and one-sided or Mikasa might have grown to love Jean. B. Mikasa chose to honor Eren’s wish for her, to be free from him and to live. Hard to digest that Mikasa and Jean would end up together and have a child but it is what Isayama is conveying with the end credits. It still wouldn’t change Mikasa’s undying love and devotion for Eren. Grown ups would understand this.

I'd give the show 9.5/10 and the ending 6.5/10. The ending could've been bumped to a 7.5 if they at least slowed it down and fleshed it out more. When I say 6.5, I didn't mean the ending was bad in the way it was adapted. The episode itself was also 9.5 in terms of animation, voice acting, music, art style, and adaptation. It's just the story decisions by the author were 6.5/10.
