Yeah, this guy has a way of recapping just the right details while not spending too much time on them. I watch his recaps specifically for shows I missed as I know how thorough he is from shows and movies I’ve seen. With that being said, I just finally decided to watch this through this past week and wow, I watched the first season when it came out and fell away from it and anime. Boy was I missing out. I’ve seen many people criticize the pacing at parts with how it felt Annie was sealed away for what felt like forever and in their defense, she was sealed away for majority of the show. But if you watch the series back to back with no wait time between seasons, it doesn’t feel like that off of a pace, personally. Everything actually feels fast enough moving that you don’t ponder on those questions until their reveal is just a stones throw away. Wasn’t till recently I found out the same director for Death Note was at the helm. Was an all time favorite of mine along with Fullmetal Alchemist. Cheers, apologies for the rambles!

This is exactly it. And either way, Eren wins by achieving his ultimate goal: permanently protect his friends and island. If his friends stop him, Marley will see them as heroes and leave Paradis alone. If Eren is not stopped, the world dies and also cannot attack Paradis anymore. Eren set himself up for the most extreme win-win.

This was a great recap, i rewatched the show with my dad and I know he can be pretty forgetful (which is understandable, a lot of shit happens) so this will be great. I watch the dub of the final episode that just released on my own last night, and there is A LOT of shit that you’ve gotta have context for and remember from the earlier seasons. While this recap skipped over a few important things, like Bertholdt almost being eaten by the Dina but her turning away last minute, Eren waking up under the tree with tears in his eyes, Falco’s Titan being a bird hybrid and his memories of flying, Eren beating up Armin and telling Mikasa he hates her, and so on, this is still an awesome recap of the series big moments in general. Thank you I appreciate it! Gonna have him watch this morning before we watch the final episode together later today.
