Welcome to our reaction to the world where humanity is forced to live in cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as Titans!

My heart breaks with the death of Marlo and Armin's sacrifice 💔💔💔 This is one of the most heartbreaking chapters 😭😭😭

Somehow the simplicity of his dream made Armin's death so much more tragic, the innocent guy with innocent dream in unfair cruel world

At first you think that the title of the episode “Hero” is in honor of Erwin, then in honor of Levi, after what he did with the Beast, but in the end it turns out that it’s most likely about Armin... Although, in fact, not only Armin is a hero, but the rest of the recruits also sacrificed their lives and knew what they were doing. In general, they are all definitely Heroes!😢

8:37 - that's the biggest tough thing in Shingeki. We are not shown death in the usual way. Usually we are shown the reactions of other characters without focusing on the dying body, but in Shingeki... In Shingeki you are forced to watch your favorite character burn alive. P.S. And Hanji is no longer four-eyed...😢

How strange is fate, the most scared and uncertain soldier is the only survivor, what an absurd joke of life. I like to think that the universe wanted to reward his courage in sacrificing himself even though he wasn't convinced or had legitimate doubts in a terrible situation like that

It's funny that this particular episode demonstrates probably one of the few disadvantages of Shingeki: If you are an important character for the plot (it doesn't matter whether it's positive or negative) or just a character that the audience likes, then at least 200 people around you can die (literally), and you will remain unharmed, and if you die, then around your death they will make a tragedy for all seasons. A striking example of this is Marco... a Persian who practically never surrendered to anyone, whose death 99% of viewers forgot about a minute later, as it was announced, and they will stick to this line until the end of the anime. Thank you, at least they won’t practically talk about the death of “Mushroom 1:37” in the future, otherwise even that was still missing... SPOILER if you haven’t watched the next episode. And then there will be how much howling about “choice” in the next episode, mmm, until the end of the anime. On the first reading/viewing, whether in the further development of the plot, or on the second viewing, I believe that the choice was made wrong... From the first viewing, I was drowning in a choice that in the end was not destined to come true... This is why I wrote the 2nd point that Attack on Titan is very often compared to the Game of Thrones in this regard, although I never understood this comparison... In the Game of Thrones, whether you are a positive or a negative person, you ALWAYS paid for MISTAKES in at best, pain, physical or mental, and at worst, death (well, the first 5 seasons)... As you understand, there is practically no such thing in Attack on Titan!

The series is without commentary, but there are, of course, some points. Considering the height from which Armin fell, he must have..... (you'll find out in the next episodes), not to mention his completely charred body. Reiner should not have been thrown out from behind, but should have died on the spot or remained half-dead in the back of the head, given the strength of the armor (which previously, in the first battle with Reiner, had only been destroyed with the help of a dozen thunder spears).

Reiner's plot armor seems to be one of the strongest in anime history :)
