@@ZoiYoichi Basically yes. Also, I think it lays the foundation for one of the show’s biggest dilemmas. Who’s the enemy? I know Erwin has asked the question in season one already, but this moment is a great follow up to that because here you can both perceive Reiner and Berthold as enemies and ask yourself “why?”. This episode both sets them as enemies and starts to humanize them as such at the same time. One of the best episodes of any show ever in my opinion. Greatly executed.

In the original manga, the big reveal was done in an analogous way as in this anime adaptation: In the manga panel, Reiner, Bertholdt and Eren were standing in the background while Mikasa was in the foreground _(but by her facial expression it seemed she had heard it!),_ and the text in Reiner's speech bubble was tiny.

49:55, my God, that was just the titan body forming, first the bones, then the muscles, that's why it was red. The colossal titan is red because he doesn't has skin, but we all have muscles under the skin.

The reason a Colossal Titan lacks skin is because the steam from transforming melts it away. The reason a Colossal Titan has such good control over steam is because it is constantly regenerating due to its size crushing itself. As we know, titan shifters can control the time it takes to regenerate. A Colossal Titan spews more steam based on how fast it regenerates and this heat burns away muscle. At least, that’s what I think.

How deep does this go? Foreshadowing was crazy. In in the early episodes of Season 1 during their training arc when everyone was in the dining hall, Eren was telling the story of what happened to his district. The anime scenes panned to Reiner and Bertholdt the moment Eren mentioned about seeing the Armored and Colossal Titan destroying the walls.

Unfortunately when this happened years ago I didn't know how anything about anime seasons so I watched from season 3 part 1, and when I got confused, and internet was hyped for Attack on Titan, everyone talking about it, so I went to see what was happening, I remember watching some clips of Eren and Reiner fighting, I really thought it was MMA fighting but with giant monsters type shit, and after 6 months they announced the part 2 so I watched it and was not understanding anything, so I decided to watch it from the beginning, knowing who was Reiner and Berthold already 🤡 but because I didn't see season 1 I didn't know about Annie, so after watching it I got soooooo invested because I didn't know how amazing it was, because I didn't have any context of what was going on, traitor? huh what the heck 😂 so after season 3 ended I went to see the manga, the art style is different, WIT Studio did a good job, and to be honest, I have lost the count of how many times I have watched reactions of AOT, I know that after Dragon Ball Super ended I started watching a bunch of people 😅😂 and I don't get bored, I can definitely see myself watching someone else in the future 😄 this is the only way for me to keep Attack on Titan alive in my head
