This isn't a cover of the songs, this is the actual composer and musicians that performed the songs. Genuinely some of the best live music I've ever heard! Also you both probably already know by now but the reason The Rumbling wasn't in this is because this suite was released way before season 4 was in development if I'm not mistaken.

20:32 The last song is Bertholdt's theme in the battle for the return of Shiganshina. "Old Man Please Remember Me" that part talks about his sick father, waiting in Marley, but sadly he died because the Marley government stopped giving him cancer treatment upon finding out they lost the Colossal. "Duty chains us, our demons haunt us"... "Like the smell of her hair"... in that part he refers to Annie, he could never tell her how he felt about her.

what also makes it harder to understand is that this was obviously composed by non native speakers and they seperate the syllables in a way germans never would cause it makes the word sound wrong or weird, plus some vocabulary choices are also questionable but at the end of the day it doesn't matter cause this OST slaps so hard

The first singer is called Eliana Silva, she is Brazilian and Japanese and yes, she is the original singer of the song. (Yes, she was singing in German) Hiroyuki Sawano is the main composer of Aot's first season soundtracks until the end of the third season. The fourth season “The Final Season”, put composer Kohta Yamamoto, a disciple of Sawano, to make the soundtracks. Sawano still participates a little in the composition of the songs in the fourth season, but who does most of the music now is Kohta Yamamoto.

16:20 ON POINT Michelle ! its for the first time played when Mikasa was about to give up when Eren was still dead eaten by the Titan, and Mikasa fell to the ground and was about to be grabbed by a titan and she suddenly by instinct keep fighting and apologize to dead Eren, because Eren wouldn't want her to give up and also only if She keep fighting and living, then she will be able to keep remembering Eren, That is indeed the sound of HOPE. 16:40 Ron is also correct, this was played in the outro finale of season 1-2 I think, when they zoom in beyond the Grassland and for the first time semi-revealed the Beast Titan's Shifter human form. PS : the other time it was played was during the intro of Levi's OAD No Regrets, and indeed it was some kind of the embodiment of Hope for Levi and his Underground Team to someday reach and live on above ground.

Sawano is an amazing composer, I love how puts in metal/electronic and pop elements into his pieces. I feel that artist who compose for anime and video games get overlooked, but they're creating music in the hardest genres imo.. These songs hit you emotionally, but they have to also not become annoying or boring since they're in so many episodes/hours of the medium. Watch the live ones infront of an audience, its insanely fucking cool.

I watch this suite every couple of months it’s absolutely incredible. Im one of those people who can pinpoint the scenes these songs are in 😂 Hiroyuki sawano is the guy on the piano who composed the songs for season 1-3 and the guy on the synth is Kohta Yamamoto who composed season 4 with Hiroyuki. Hiroyuki is a genius. His music is phenomenal. A lot of the songs for AoT are in German because the place it’s set in is based on a real place in Germany called Noerdlingen where it’s a medieval town surrounded by huge walls. I love that it is the original singers for these songs as well however, the first song was originally sung by Mika Kobayashi and then for season 3 it was the girl in this video. The song you mentioned where you thought it was when reiner and Bertholdt revealed themselves is the Levi and Kenny chase scene ❤️ and the instrumental which you thought was an outro is used quite a lot throughout the show. It’s used quite a lot with the scouts as well when Erwin is commanding them. It’s called counter attack on mankind A lot of the openings for AoT were done by Linked Horizon and some of their videos performing the openings live are insane.

15:57 is song at the end of season two. Starts while Levi and Erwin are talking while Erwin is in bed recovering from his lost arm. It builds until Erwin says something like “we’re finally one step closer to breaking down these walls of ignorance.” That’s when the song crescendos and the camera flies past all our characters then stops on the the Beast titan and Zeke on popping out. It’s one of the few hopeful/triumphant moments in the show lol

The one you didnt know where it was played is called coutnerattack mankind. Its played in scenes they get their hope back. For example season 2 last episode or season 1 when mikasa gets her hope beack and wants to fight(must be at episode 7 or 8). Or when Sasha in season 2 fought the titan when she safed the girl of her village.

The singers are all Japanese and they are Mr. Sawano “go-to” singers. :) Mr. Sawano created many other songs with these singers. He wrote some lyrics in Dutch to relate the story of AoT. Jeager, Erin’s last name, means a bird, more specifically a pomarine jaeger, in Dutch. You see birds in AoT important scenes because of it. It will all make sense at the end of the AoT (the last season comes in September 2023.) Really enjoy your reaction videos! Love from Japan❤

Eren's last name jaeger means hunter not bird

@@yj1864 You are right! I didn’t explain it well. 😅 I guess jaeger in English is a kind of bird and Jager in Dutch means a hunter. I assume the author wants to have these two meanings for his last name.

Hiroyuki Sawano is the pianist and composer. The singer is Eliana Silva. This song has had several versions now, each with different singers. The first one's name was Mika, which is the one you hear back in S1. Eliana is the one you hear at the end of last season. Also, yes the lyrics are in german lol

Hiroyuki Sawano is the composer for those scores. 16:50 that's when Mikasa thought Eren was eaten by a titan and she was crying the the world can be beautiful too while she was thinking of Eren, ahh still brings tears in my ears.

“To what scene?” @18:29 this song played at the very end of season two, right before we first see the Beast Titan’s human form. It is also the song that played after Sasha rescued Kaya and reunited with her father S2E3

First time hearing this song in 15:58 my brain processing, bringing me back to season 1 when the first time reiner and berthold bring Eren to that hill at night or dawn (i remember when Reiner asked Eren what's his goal/dream or something, and Eren said that he want to kill all those titans), and also showing that lake scene... so pretty... For my perspective, in this Hiroyuki Sawano Project emU, all the songs are from 3 seasons (which is all the OST are created by Hiroyuki sawano himself, the guy in white shirt and playing piano), and mostly from season 3, bcs when i checked again to the album, that's matching, except the YouSeeBigGirl one and the one that i mention before (but at the ending of the episode from season 3, they're using the same song but in different version). That song, "K2-" are indeed Kenny's Theme Song, from Episode 1 of season 3. Then they use it again in season 4 "but different version", when Levi vs Zeke inside the forest and Levi's comrades explodes and become titans, (in K2- there's no lyrics, only instruments, but K21, there's a rapper and more like live band than K2-). P.S: sorry for long explaination and wrong grammar bcs english isn't my first languange

It's crazy how you said 18:00 that one is hope because it was played at the very last scene of S2 when Erwin was happy abt the fact that they finally are a step ahead to reach the truth "when they knew titans are humans"

The 1st time I watched this, I was reminded of the anxiety, hyped energy and sadness/trauma this show has given me. 1 of my older brothers really likes watching AoT too, when I showed him this his absolute fave is the 1st song. And I enjoy teasing him by saying "REINER!". And my absolute go to is the 4th song, her haunting vocals reminds me of Amy Lee from Evanescence. The main line/scene that pops in my head is when Eren calls Reiner and Bert Traitors while transforming.
