The Mikasa memory killed me. I FULLY BELIEVE Mikasa's memory in the cabin was a real "in the paths" memory, like she and Eren lived a whole life in the Paths and Eren wiped that memory until he died. That's how Mikasa knew where to find Eren (in the mouth) and was fully ready and capable to kill him.

One thing about Blake's comment on the King of the walls: It was his ideology that kept the founders within the wall from acting in defense of the island. His mind control over all who inherited the founder is the reason Paradis could never get a foot hold on the planet. He chose to sacrifice his people to an existence torture and torment as a form of atonement because of what their ancestors did. I found him to be the biggest loser in the entire series, he sacrificed his people to let the world be at peace, yet it was the walls of titans he built that ultimately doomed everyone he sought to save. It's like creating the nuke because you believe nuclear deterrence will be the solution to peace, only to have the world end cause those nukes got used on everything. My second to third time reading through the manga I realized that his self righteousness is what allowed Eren to enact the rumbling.

Just a little detail that someone pointed out to me now I look for it every time I see this episode: when the scouts meet up with Hange you can see Floch off to the side by himself at 26:17, like they are in Valhalla but no one is talking to him.

I watched Attack on Titan both sub and dub as it came along these many years. One of my biggest problems with the dub has been how much they alter and change the lines, even when it comes to some of the most iconic ones in the series, which leads to inconsistency when those lines are repeated later on in the series since the dub changed them originally it erases intentional call-backs in the dialogue. Now if anyone goes back and rewatch the show, In S1Ep4 (9:23 when Eren, Reiner and Annie was training), Annie was talking about not playing the role of 'soldiers' (because she is a warrior) while Reiner's split personality was saying he will, but the English dub changes it into Annie saying 'don't be a pawn as the military sons of bitches want to', which contradicts her character because she just wants to see if it is 'normal' for people to go with the 'flow' instead of changing anything as some try to do (as said by her in S1Ep23 11:42). In S1Ep12 (22:05 when Armin is able to motivate/manipulate Eren into fighting), one of the most iconic lines of Eren, "It's because I was born in this world!" which was later seen as something Carla told him in S3Ep11 22:42, again he repeats in S4Ep19 19:47. But what the English dub do? They change it to, "Because the world beyond the walls is my birthright", "He was born into this world" (only correct one), and "Because I have a right to live inside the world I was born to" respectively. In S2Ep9 (18:45 when Eren, Ymir (freckles), Reiner and Bertholdt are talking on the trees), after Ymir mentions the Monkey titan, Eren says, "What's this about a monkey" because people inside the walls don't even know what a monkey is and thus called it a Beast and the English dub change it to Eren saying "A monkey don't be cute" which changes the fact for more confusing state of Eren plus the world building as it was intended. In S4Ep11 (12:30 when Dhalis Zachary/Darius Zackly died from Yeagerist bomb planting in the torture chair), the protestors started shouting the iconic line of the whole show, 'Shinzō wo Sasageyo!' which means 'Dedicate/Give your/our hearts!', but now as a viewer, it feels wrong to use the same lines that we used to from Erwin when used for a bad cause (for some it may be a good cause) which cause a dilemma in our mind that when we were with Erwin are we the bad guys because we used to chant the same things when we don't know the opposite perspective. But the English dub changed it to "Give your/our hearts and souls to the cause" which doesn't have the full effect. There are many more translation problems that are lost in English dub but those would be just nitpicks. Some can say these are nitpicking and don't affect the show, but personally, I try to watch the reactions for these foreshadowing and world buildings, and try to see if they pick up on these aspects and if not I try to explain to them like, "Now you can understand what Annie was talking about", "You know in S1Ep12 Eren said the same line", "Eren said that line because they don't even know what a monkey is (for example they don't know what is coffee)". But how can I explain something which is missing in the English version. It's not the English dub artists' fault obviously because how would they lip-sync the exact words and know where the story goes in the future but Hajime Isayama (the author of the manga) was directly involved with the direction of the anime is why it is so well made. In S4Ep8 (14:35 when Sasha was dying), she said 'Niku' which means Meat and also a cute way to say Niccolo. Now there is no way you can translate it without changing the name of Niccolo to something like Mitabi (RIP). This is something commenters could explain but not possible to do in the English dub. Even though I liked the English VAs of Erwin (J. Michael Tatum) and Levi (Matthew Mercer), but still as an anime watcher I was more used to the Japanese VAs. For example, the main three Eren (Yuki Kaji also won many awards for his performance of this character), Mikasa (Yui Ishikawa) and Armin (Marina Inoue) are too good. Bryce Papenbrook (Eren's English VA) was very disappointing for me and others were slowly became alright in S4 (especially in the last chapter Armin's English VA not as good as Marina but made an impression on me). Honourable Japanese VA mentions: Grisha Yeager's VA (should deserve Oscar for S4Ep20), Hannes's VA (Kenjiro Tsuda iykyk), Zeke Yeager's VA (known as daddy of voice acting). I am obviously biased towards the Japanese version as I watched it first and then the dub and also used to the anime genre. Also as a trilingual person, English is not needed for me to get emotional. My take on the whole dub vs sub is that it's okay, if it is your first time or you don't want to pay attention (casual watchers), you can watch the dub it is not bad, but if you are a reaction channel where you have to review for any show this interconnected, they should watch the thing as original as possible (I am not saying you have to learn Japanese) because still there are things you will miss and you can pause, go back or rewatch to understand properly. This is something I have wanted to say for a long time, and finally, as the whole thing is over I can clear my chest and explain. Please consider my perspective and don't take this as hate or anything and for others don't hate on the people who watch dub because it is also a misunderstanding that they also think we just hate on them. Obviously, we are watching this because we want to know your thoughts but when things you understand (and not) are not intended by the author, it hurts because we can't even explain it to you. After all, we would have analysed the same if we watched the dub.

I really had a strong adverse reaction to the ending as well. It felt too loose and like it would have been improved with less fighting and less pathos. But rewatching it a couple times with reactors has led me to appreciate it much more. There were even some things I had missed because I was too busy being mad at certain developments.
