The only problem I have with AOT 2 is how they handle Titan shifters. The amount of time you play as the Titan isn't that long and if you play as one, you only get to transform once before having to go to a base and replenish the ability.

If you play in Heaven Mode and just want to have fun playing, you can turn into a Titan infinite amount of times. There’s also skills you can get to give you a more time as in Titan form. (Sorry, I know you aren’t going to care for this anymore, but I’m just saying for anyone else that might like to know)

This video is pretty skewed and bias, most of things you say are pretty overexaggerated. The combat is different but its fine, no one sees great mechanics and decides to make it shit not how it works. They made it more linear to be more accurate to the animes odm gear. Also you can still zip around like crazy like Aot 1 and if you want to be like “levi” turn off the slowmo in the options. - theres an opening cutscene - the mission victory cutscene, from a person that plays musou games those 10 second cutscene are only cool for the first 5 mission after that you will wish you could skip but that is preference at that point. - flares don’t just give you a speed boost they do the same thing that aot 1 flares do. - the ui is fine, the less on the screen the better. - camera has always been crappy I however agree with you with the outline, that should of stayed in. But they probably changed it after season 2 removed that art style. Also the removal of taunts and that small animation when shooting a flare should of stayed to. - But aot 2 is by far the better game, More characters is a good thing unlike what your making it out to be - cac - more story More options when it comes to weapons and customisation Let alone the huge expansion pack that is coming that adds heaps of stuff including story. So unless your one of those people who are picky with graphics then this game is a step up from aot 1 imo.

Dubh Bubonem I’m usually all for hearing people’s opinions but I felt this video was kinda unecessarily brutal. I knew for sure when he used the shot of titans swarming him then zooming the footage to help his point. You can easily use a flash to get out of swarms of enemies or use your support to halt the attack animations of the titans for a brief moment. Unless he wants swarms of titans removed from the game which is a huge part of the anime.

I played attack on titan 2 first, got all the achievements, then bought attack on titan 1... I can't go back. Why did they take the absolute perfection of the odm maneuverability and titan combat of the 1st game, and turn it into lazy dog shit? In the 2nd game you CANNOT: 1.) Air dash side to side while anchored to a titan. 2.) Do "Unique Finishing moves" to special Annie, Zeke, and Reiner titans. (OR stun them) 3.) Annie, Zeke, Reiner, AND "stronger" titans no longer have defensive parts that need to be taken off before you attack the nape. (Annie needed, her arms taken out, Reiner needed his legs damaged, and Zeke's beat titan needed to be FIREBOMBED EVERYWHERE to damage his actual skin without attacking his fur. You also need to take out both of his arms as well. 4.) No cool "end mission" cutscenes or pretty main game menu.(Addressed in this video) 5.) Transforming into a Titan is WAAAAY underpowered.(Even after they recently patched it so character stats reflect the strength of the titan as well.) 6.) They may have added Season 3 to AoT2, but there's no reason to buy it. You literally have no incentive. I bought it for $40. Guess what? Tons of stuff to grind through, and NO. NEW. ACHIEVEMENTS. Ooooh, I can shoot guns now? Too bad they're ASS, and underpowered(Even the perfect gun 99* has NOTHING on the Perfected Blade 99*) Everything you do in Season 3 is made into a new mode called "Character Episode Mode". Basically it tells you Season 3's amazing devolpments through lazily implemented "comic book-esque" cutscenes, and nothing like the original campaigns. You also can't use your custom character in this mode, but that doesn't really bother me at all, considering the end of the campaign... 7.) Play as other characters because they JUST. F*CKING. SUCK. Besides the obvious Mikasa, Levi, etc... Attack on titan 1 had reasons to play as every 1 of the 10 characters. Want to earn more money? Play as Christa. Need more materials? Play as sasha. Need to destroy titan body parts and overpower everything? Play as Levi. Want to experience TRUE TITAN COMBAT!? Eren's your guy. It may be tempting to get the 2nd iteration of the game... But trust me, you're not missing much.

the flair in AOT 2 does the same thing, you still have infinite gas and blades. I have played both games and tbh, the only thing I like better in the first one is the story. Like you are playing with the characters of the anime and I prefer that.But they will bring that back in the expansion. Also the ODM gear I feel is much more responsive in 2 and much more fluid to use. The main thing I like tho, is the character roster. You have so much more characters to choose from in AOT 2. The first one didn't even Have Annie being playable. I really loved the main menu in the first one and like I said, the story was much better handled.

The first Attack on Titan’s combat is not more fluid it’s legit EASIER than AOT 2. This is because Aot 2 is meant to be more difficult and challenging, you’re not playing as a main character anymore you’re a side character. The grapple breaks off when you grapple on to the Titan because you’re not supposed to do that until you got the right angle and a straight line to do so. Moving right and left will break your momentum and too much will obviously break your hooks off because you’re supposed to dedicated to a straight line by then yet and not changing course much. The other grapple button is to swing around until you get the angle you’re looking for and then grapple on and slice. The second game is more refined, and refined does not equal easier. If you want an easier game then sure the first one is for you but crapping on a game just because you’re bad at it is not a very solid point

The movement in AOT 2 is way faster and smoother for me, you probably didn't play enough as to get used to it, but the controls now are more efficient compared to the ones in previous game. The buddy actions are more useful now and their IA is DEFINITELY better in AOT 2 (they don't die as easy as in AOT WOF). Regarding the towers bases, again, more useful than NPC around the map. Realistic? No, as well as killing titans with a couple of blades and an ODM gear isn't. 10:07 that happens in AOT WOF even worse... And well the other 90% of the video is complaining about cinematics, graphics or HUD which for me are pretty much the same or just more minimalistic.

I played both games for a long time still playing Aot 2 but the reasons you pointed out dont make sense Aot 2 does have an opening graphics on characters are exactly the same and on the stages Aot 2 has better graphics the gameplay is way better than the 1 st one just more difficult if you havent get used to it cause it has more depth to it the only thing Aot 1 did better imo is that you are able to stay in Titan form way longer each time you use a transformation also you can use special moves on Titan battles

The presentation is better in one but all the removed animations simply speed up the game As far as the gameplay goes though 2 is way better the titans are way less brain dead since titans rarely attacked pretty much ever. they also added a lot of little mechanics that help add depth( like sneak attacks. The only gameplay mechanic 1 has over 2 is titan form lasts way longer but you don’t get armored ape or jaw titans in 1 (playable I mean)

AoT2 was dumbed down for casuals because they were putting it on Switch. AoT1 feels more like the actual anime matter of fact it felt like you didn’t need to know about the show since it cut all the horrible filler and told a better story than the show the combat is WAAAY faster! Each character having their own Limit Breaks and special attributes like Levi makes all of your equipment go up to 100% and his moveset is on fire! Buuut then you don’t have support like Armin or guidance with Mikasa. EVERY Character was overpowering in someway which made the game better in AoT2 everything feels boring, slow and meandering. Sure the CAC is great and all but the combat was horrible I literally stood 2 hours 2 FUCKING HOURS trying to kill a Titan because there was no Blade or gas guys. Or you know LIMIT BREAKS!? Why is that even an equipment shouldn’t it be it’s own characteristic thing? I’m gonna do a video on this soon hopefully everyone will agree with me on this.

4:55 huh thats funny. Did you even upgrade your character my guy? Because my character moves just as fast as levi. You just didn't stick with the game long enough to actually give it a full review and expected to have everything to be just as it was on the first game off boot. Nah. U gotta grind and GET your character to that smooth level of mobility, strength, etc

In AoT 1 if you cut off all of a titan's limbs and then taunt the titan will jump using large nubs

Don't even get me started on the latest DLC's cutscenes... Bruh I swear they are slowly giving up. Where's the love in the game like it had in the first. Now the cut scenes in the DLC is just panels, like BRUH, I can read the manga instead! Also, when you use your allies when they try to save you, they take you to their arms and then talk to you like "Are you ok?" but they have NO FACIAL ANIMATIONS!!! Another thing that annoyed me is that when you use the titan shifter ability, in AOT 1 the more you punch them and tear their limbs off, the longer the duration you can get it to be, even then the more you use it, the stronger it gets and the longer you can use it. They just completely scrapped that idea. OH EVEN WORSE!! They removed the execution animations when they are stunned.. examples like Eren punching female titan in the gut and flying her off to the air, Armored titan getting WWE wrestled and the Beast titan getting yeeted. Like come on man. Even in Inferno mode the Titan shifters can't even kill a group of titans without it getting fully depleted. Plus if you even try to battle out a bizzare titan, your titan will run out before you even hit the green markers for the hit points. Titan shifters should just straight up ignore those glowing green points like they ignored the armored limbs in the first game. Phew, I'm done ranting. I still enjoy the 2nd game tho. Not worth the full price though.

Only thing i didnt like about AoT 2 was the mini-map, it was so much clearer in the first one and it was easier to see where all the titans were. Other than that i think Aot 2 is better in every way, you can turn off the annoying slow-mo effects wich makes the game smoother and also not having to deal with the animations every time you use your Battle Alert Signal is a plus for me, it only fucked up the momentum imo. Teammates were complete garbage in the first game even with characters like Armin and Christa who was supposed to rely on teamwork, a useless feature which forced you to act like a one-man-army anyway. I love both games and played the shit out of them. AoT 2 was a near perfect improvement imo, just the graphics (which i didnt notice until i saw your vid) and the mini-map was better in the first one. The abilities and animations you get from teammates now are so much worth the trade of a cool menu and intro to the game. The in game HUD looks smoother now imo, smaller icons that doesnt take up so much space.

Some more gaming if you get attack on Titan 2 final battle their is a new opening cut scene and a lot of new characters and story mode and it has a new mode were you can make your own regiment and have other characters have the same regiment patches as your cac which has different new patches and has guns and another new weapon so I suggest you buy it because it also has a great rating also you can make your own town.

I personally prefer aot 2,because there's a lot of freedom. For example you can catch Titans and then "become them" in a little mini game.
