It’s interesting hearing the 911 call and how clearly he spoke, yet the dispatcher seemed not to hear what he was saying. Poor man, what a horrific way to die.

It irritates me that a person surviving lessens the punishment or the severity of the crime. Stabbing someone 29 times is such an obvious intention to kill someone that the punishment should be the same as murder.

I can’t stand dispatchers that asks redundant questions. If you hear a smoke alarm and fire, maybe ask what room the victim is in, not “what’s that noise”?

The Chris Johnson interrogation genuinely caught me in the throat. From Ron’s background and life, it seemed like he was a parental figure for many of these men who probably didn’t have a stable upbringing or current life. Many of these guys had fights with Ron, and Ron would let them go essentially to the effect of- if this is how you wanna be, you gotta do it without my help. But Ron also seems like the guy who would take them back when they decided to get back on the right path. That audio clip was heartbreaking because Ron was probably the only person left in Chris’s life that was a steadying and decent force for good. You can hear in his voice how lost he feels.

It doesn’t take a genius to be a 9-1-1 operator, unfortunately. If they were held accountable, as in criminally for their negligence, maybe we’d see some improvement. These ppl need to grow up and take responsibility for their own lives and actions!! As for Thomas, he must be one of the toughest humas alive!! Victim on phone: “Fire! Fire!” :Smoke alarm blares in background: Dispatcher: “Sir, What’s that noise going off?” Listen, I understand that the dispatcher was getting a lot of info at once. But I feel like that was something she could’ve pieced together without making that man repeat the words fire with what could’ve been his last few breaths. I have a good friend who’s a dispatcher and I know it can get tense and confusing real quick. But I feel like so many dispatchers on these videos are so unprepared for true emergencies like this. As someone with an illness that causes occasional word salad, it terrifies me to think about being forced to call an un-empathetic dispatcher. I’m pretty calm in emergencies but if the person who’s supposed to help me ain’t understanding what I’m saying I’m just gonna scream until the cops get there. 😅

Anytime our family goes anywhere we typically don’t go (husband, son and I) like a vacation, we ALWAYS take pictures every day of what we are wearing so if one of us went missing we had not only a recent pic but of what exactly we are wearing too. We then send each other all the pics so we all have them. Our son is now 16 and he doesn’t even complain about it. My husband is insanely safety conscious. I got seperated from him and son and didn’t have my phone at a huge event so since then we also pick a meeting spot if we split up or get split up unintentionally and can’t reach each other on our phones.

wow. seemed like he was a really kind guy who helped a lot of people in dark places get help. the fact that the girlfriend asked to borrow money from him is a testimony to his character in itself. so sad. :(

@@truthseeker4899she could’ve at LEAST asked a better question… “is that the fire alarm I’m hearing?” Y’know, something that makes her sound more intelligent & less of a…”this sounds like bs” type of attitude. I felt that in her voice…that she thought it was a prank or not real or something. Lady’s a dumba**!! 🤦‍♀️
