The painting on the houses is unique and beautiful. The railway bridge crossing was tough with an audible sigh of relief from Noraly. All those railway tunnels were such an experience. What a super gentleman to give advice for the crossing. Sleeper wood furniture is really beautiful. Combined with her relaxed conversation with the local prior to the crossing it made for a great "story".

Such a good choice of music while crossing the train trestle. The first time over is the scariest! In my teen years, we would ride across a river to get to our riding area. No possible way could I walk, or even crawl across it, but after seeing my brother ride over, it became routine! PS With darkness falling, I would have done the same thing - go back the 20k & stick with the know.

When I lived in Summerland British Columbia we used to ride our dirt bikes between Penticton and home all the time, mostly following the railway. To cross Trout Creek we had to ride over the massive train trestle. We would put our ears to the track and listen for the train, if we couldn't hear one we would jump on our bikes and rip as fast as we could across. This thing was over a deep ravine and had a blind corner at the end. There were no railings and no room to escape the train if one came. To fall off was certain death. You had to get going fast enough so your tires would float from tie to tie. Once you got to the end your had to stop and then pop up over the rail to get off the track. Once we had one guy on the other side he could keep look out and wave the rest of us safely through. If my mom knew the risks we took on our dirt bikes she would have died.

In country after country railroads have been closed, torn up, etc in all advised efforts at modernization. In Nicaragua the rail tracks and sleepers were torn, ripped out in 1992, to the everlasting regret of the local people who relied on it. The same is true of a number of countries in the region, parts of Chile, Argentina, etc. But the viaducts, and overpasses remain to tempt riders like itchy boots to have a go. Absolutely loved this episode. Kudos to Noraly for always making an effort, having a go, try, etc. When she realizes she has mispronounced a word, got something wrong, she makes the effort to correct it.

I know what you mean about riding around for hours at the end of the day, in the rain, trying to find somewher to stay. I had the same problem in Lausanne a couple of years ago and ended up paying 240 Euro for a tiny room. Still, it wasn't Columbia and a bit of a first world problem. Deep respect. 🏍

Sounds like a nightmare Noraly , I thought driving around London in rush hour was bad , but they way you explained your experience, sounds a lot worse and being on the bike in pouring rain made it more miserable. Thanks for the great videos, they are helping my recovery in hospital more bearable 👍👍

The scariest ride you (meaning "we") have had since ridding through the mountain snows in Azerbaijan (or Kurdistan?). With nearly a million subscribers I have no doubt there are thousands of prayers daily for your safety. Obviously, they were effective again today. May it always be so.

The "bread" is called is Arepa. The arepa is a food of pre-Columbian origin, made from ground dry corn dough or precooked corn flour, circular and flattened. It is known by that name in Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela, and is consumed in a traditional way in the cuisines of these countries.

I'm here for just about a month and watching about 5 videos a day. I had watched the very first video and last night went back to watch it again (it's a happy tearjerker when you know what it turns into, lyrics in the song). The videos are always the same even from the first one; "Good Morning Internet", what time it is and where we are going on the map. You are completely right, "they are perfect in every way". Noraly is a gift to the world.

06:30 the plate on the helmet is mandatory and was implemented as a lot of robberies/homicides in large cities involved motorcycles. Some cities even forbid a male passenger in certain neighborhood or on special dates like elections.
