Attempting to Land Every Warbird in DCS | Short Field Ops

Gonna tell you right now, the success ratio is barely 50% - The Challenge:
The Latest Update to the Falklands map, features a tiny airstrip, deep inside Argentina. We're going to try landing EVERY module in DCS with a prop at said Airfield! It's narrow, and only about 3000ft long.
Some of the aircraft you'll see now, include Spitfire, P51 Mustang, P47 Thunderbolt, the Focke Wulf 190, and the Me 109, as well as the Yak, and the twin engined Mosquito!
Couple extra (none props) aircraft thrown in, cos I felt like it. If anyone feels like leaving a comment with the time stamps for when I start with each aircraft, i'll appreciate it, and i'll copy your comment over to the video so the chapters appear.

DCS? I never heard of this, now I am definitely interested. It looks very impressive.

Most fun is autorotating helos onto trains in DCS.. you should try it one time.

That's a great idea for a video. I did some auto rotation at the end of my Gaza vid, but not into a train. I tried to land on the back of a moving ship (with the small helipads) but I couldn't do it, I'd tip off or undershoot every time. I guess eventually I'd do it, and it's definitely something easier in VR.

Don't apply brakes when raising gear in a P-51. Let the wheels spin freely. There is no risk of damaging the plane. Applying brakes risks the possibility that the hot brake disks will melt into a solidly locked state and the moment you touch down, you'll go nose-first into the dirt.

The wheels will not melt because your apply brakes. Spinning big wheels very fast act like gyroscopes, you do not want to twist big heavy gyroscopes at high speed through 90 degrees.

@@InternetFlightRules The downloadable manual from the DCS website disagrees. Perhaps also check out Reflected Simulations P-51 startup and takeoff tutorial video where he follows the real world procedures for operating the P-51. He mentions it as well.
