room sketch has been such a life saver for house decorating. i used to use harv's, but it was too much of a hassle not being able to resize the rooms and i stopped using it entirely. couldn't imagine trying to decorate indoors without being able to use anything from the catalogue or seeing different customisations before i actually go and buy the things i need. i even consider using room sketch to plan ideas for outdoors now, if theres something that i want to look very specific, rather than more go with the flow

Might sound dumb but I used to put a lot of pressure on myself in this game to stick to the cottagecore vibes and the soft aesthetic. seeing you do this and your hhp builds is making me so happy because they look so lived in and warm! You should try using the room design app on the nook phone to decorate your rooms first then you know exactly what items you need to order. Total game changer for me my houses were empty before I did this

Usually for me, the wallpaper and flooring don't match my actual furniture. For example, if I'm using lots of whites and pastels, I'll use really dark wooden walls and floors to help the furniture pop and make it look really nice.
