I started really following these two after watching one of each builds they working on and thinking how they gonna make something out of that. With Brent is was his last build (35 dodge 3 window when the shop burnt) and Carl it's a combination of his wife's caddy, but mainly the Lincoln.

I’m so glad I happened onto this post. Both you & Carl were my regular daily stops till the destructive fires. I don’t know if you remember me from then but I also was a victim of fire. I lost everything along with approximately 576 other victims of the Malibu fires then suffered a stroke. I’m still in the hospital and have been for all the time since then and have absolutely nothing to look forward to when I get out. My only joy was reading all the wonderful channels on Utube on a tablet a wonderful friend gifted me. I’m so very happy to see you rebuilding. I have to bail since it’s very hard for me to type this out with my left hand as my right hand is almost completely useless. Good night to you both, two of the best fabricators.

Quote of the day, "If you squint its mint." I'll remember that when I'm in the pub next looking for some female attention.😂😂😂 Great job, guys. Watching how you smooged the panels back in to shspe on time-lapse mode was mint. The metal looked as though it was fluid at times, like when metal is taped, then poured into a mould at the foundry. Safe journey, Carl. Can't wait to see your videos uploaded.

It’s understandable, it was probably 1000 degrees plus in there so it’s just deformed now! Just take your time and push and dolly slowly and the metal will do whatever you want! I love blacksmith work and working metal! I welded and fabricated for almost 40 years and I’ve even blacksmithed some cutting blades for a trencher that they didn’t make anymore and the guy couldn’t find replacement blades for it! I made 41 blades for his trencher and he was astonished as I was but Brent I loved every minute of even though it wore my arm out beating on the steel shaping it! It was pretty cool brother! I love watching y’all shape the metal and your Coupe! I’d probably have to go back in your videos but I don’t remember what the Coupe looked like before the fire my friend, or the old truck that was in there!

Hi from NZ, I like that you're saving that dodge, well done. Just a handy hint for ya's, when i was pushing a 38 chev coupe back into shape I cut chunks out of an old truck tyre tread, and put them between the Porta power rams and the body, i also used some as backing pads for slapping, etc. It's messy cutting the tyre up, but the pads I made became really useful in the shop for many jobs after that. Live well, work hard, enjoy.
