Very nice playing. Not squeaky, as this instrument can be. The two models sound pretty much the same. I don't know why they make curved sopranos or sopraninos. There is no point. I have a (straight) Selmer soprano and it works fine. I once tried a curved model, in a store, but the angle of the neck and keyboard was almost identical to those of the straight model, and, in an instant, I saw that there was no advantage.

I like the curved soprano for solo playing. You can hear a little better, plus they just look sweet. They don't stay in tune as well as a straight soprano though...

I like the curved for aesthetics since they look like the other saxes, bit also because they become easier to mic up. Naturally this doesn't really apply to a sopranino since it's so tiny, but on a soprano having the mic on the bell covers most of the horn, avoiding those double mic mics

I have a curved soprano and have played both a curved and a straight soprano sax. The curved is a little harder to keep in tune than a straight soprano due to the bend in the body tube but after playing both a curved and straight, I prefer the curved. Curved sopranos have a fuller, warmer sound than an straight soprano While I like the sound of a straight soprano when not played in the more nasal Kenny G style, I couldn't play my straight soprano for more than an hour at most without my right harm and right thumb getting sore and the neck strap would get in the way of the octave key. Mine was a Conn-Selmer Advant DSS-200 one peice straight soprano with ribbed construction and a large bell which adds weight. With the curved soprano I love the ergomonics as I don't have any issues with the weight when using a neck strap and the strap doesn't get in the way of the octave key so I can play as long as I like without issues. Plus with the bell of the curved not pointing downwards, I get more feeback as the sound is coming back towards me and not away from me.
