Like many women with potential in the Attitude Era, Trish worked with what she had at that time and she had the best year-over-year improvements of any Superstar in her generation. Even “the boys” commend her for that. I’m glad she got to come back and show she can hang with the next generation.

I think it was quick revival of the "good ole days" but also a "what if?" A lot of callbacks to old famous heel promos that diva fans remember. Including " 'Dashing' Trish Stratus" The "what if" being match stipulations she was definitely not able to do. She could do brawls/street fight matches with Victoria and Jazz but didn't get ladder matches or steel cages like today Steel cage was excellent. The steps to get there were a little shaky but we got there. She didn't wear out her welcome and wasn't in the title picture, definitely the opposite of most "part timers"

What she did, she did fine and she seemed to give a shit about actually making the matches look good and trying at least a little bit to get the WWE to agree to storylines that rose above "I'm jealous you got to be in Playboy and I didn't" or "My boyfriend is better than yours". She also steadily improved year after year. All that puts her way above at least half the WWE women's roster wjen she was first active.

1) I have two good ideas for ROH video. Kona Reeves - kinda a Samoan guy, but he have never got a push, even he had a heel gimmick. Or Isaiah "Swerve" Scott aka Swerve Strickland. Now, he is a top guy in other company. He could become him very early, but the global situation and big problems of creative crew ruined it. 2) Did you know that Abyss could have a match in 2006 against Undertaker at Wrestlemania, but he turned it down because he wanted to became a big name in company which he started his career with.

I'm going to say what no one wants to say - women's wrestling is often much less entertaining than men's wrestling (as is the case with many sports). There are actual biological differences that make women's matches slower and somewhat clumsier. Having said that, the character work and spot choice made the Trish and Becky cage match a MOTY candidate for me.

@@sunilgangarh7448 So why is it that men's sports consistently draw 3-4x (at least) the money that women's sports do? Do you have eyes? Count the amount of botches in the typical women's wrestling match and compare it to the men. The overall pacing is much different. Men are faster than women biologically and there is no arguing this point. Faster and less botches = more entertaining for most people. I don't see how me saying that women's wrestling is less entertaining equals me being prejudiced. Black people are generally better at long distance running also (backed up by many reputable studies, Vancini et al., 2014 is just one example), i suppose this makes me racist then too?

@@lpbbinc Why would you bring up race in that way? What a weird pivot… ANYWAYS everything you said is based on your own specific opinion. Becky literally held up a sign on RAW this week in the crowd and it said women run WWE. That is because there are many people like me, who watch WWE for the girls. Has nothing to do with biological differences. And regarding the “botches”, firstly, crazy to say that as if men don’t botch all the time. Secondly, maybe they wouldn’t botch as much if they were given more time on TV. 1 match on a 6 match card is a clear imbalance. And that’s with the recent progression. It wasn’t too long ago we were lucky to get *A* match. And god forbid that one single match went on longer than 5 minutes including entrances.

I think a NXT Dakota Kai ring of the hawk might be worth it, she actually had an impressive character change and heal turn there

They may be a lot of much better women wrestlers this day, but Trish left a mark and legacy in a time when the company did not care or gave a damn about women’s wrestling, and would even put Playboy covergirls over talented athlees. When Charlotte, Becky, Sasha or Bayley (The 4 Horsewomen) became top superstars, all the eyes were on the Women’s division and WWE Management was even developing a strategy based on elevating and empowering women, so they could be at the level of the male wrestlers. That is the big difference and that is why Trish is the true GOAT.
