I retired from The United States Air Force in 2005. This speech has lit a fire in my soul. Thanks Chief. Please continue to lead.

Who you are in life transcends to whatever you do, professionally. It never transcends the other way. Words from my late uncle, Ret. CMSgt. Attitude goes a long, long way.

Pleasant surprise to see that the CSM knows how to project well, as he speaks! I just listened to LTG McDew's speech! He did not project well at all, and his voice kept dropping down really low, making the speech hard to follow! THANKS FOR PROJECTING WELL! 😊👍

Great speech. Just a few points. He is speaking at the AF Academy to people who will be officers. I guarantee you that ONE recognized mistake in your record is the kiss of death. Passing out Article 15s for offenses is never the way to go. The idea is to save people and train them correctly. Enlisted Airmen are useless without integrity. E-8s, E-9 and First Sergeants can be a powerful influence on their Airmen. These people can motivate and inspire or intimidate and destroy their Airmen. The Airmen leave the service because they were afraid or bullied into making statements against their will involving hard charging commanders who demanded quality and adherence to regulations. A good Senior, Chief or First Sergeant is worth their weight in gold but E-8s and E-9 s who lack integrity are little more than speed bumps on the way to excellence. You want training for junior enlisted? Great. But not fear. Bad people cost the AF every day.

Great Chief, great leader and great message! But for the love of god, get a set of dress blues that fit! That uniform would fit someone his height, who has 100lbs on him easily.

With all due to respect to the General he gives a great lecture on how to operate in the classical. However, as your guest lecturer, today, I believe this lecture does the airmen in the room a disservice as it does not cover how to lead In the romantic domain. As such I must insist that upon his next lecture at the academy he cover his lessons on managing expectations. For if your subordinates look up to you to be some kind of Fiscal Messiah as you sit in rags, scruff, and shag then you have a problem.
