“Button,Button,where is the Button?” An old game,played by children. I have mudlarked and found a few CD buttons. I have sewed them into my trusty mudlarking cap. I hope to fond a pin. I don’t know why I am so miserable at finding such a thing,but I MUST find one before my time runs out! Also,your research is amongst the top 4,in regards to thoroughness and photographic dedication. I love old photos,I could share old family photos,pre-dating the First World War.

The funny thing, watching today 26.1.25 you find a Charles 1 coin, as up near St James Palace this morning and they were getting ready to re-enact Kings Parade for when Charles 1 died, strange, great finds and knowledge

I just saw a video recently on the show they are having at the British Museum on the silk roads. They have examples of cloisonne jewelry (Sutton Hoo period I think?) which they used garnets to make. I wonder if they crushed and melted them like they did with glass? I wonder if the tiny Thames river garnets you find were used for that? Another great episode. Thanks for freezing for us Marie!
